I'd argue that what we say takes precedence to what you say.
I'd also argue that if you don't stop acting like a jackass you will find yourself in a position of not being able to do so any more shortly.

Re: OSX & Linux launcher could screw up your file permission
Oh godammit, thanks for bringing this to my attention. Will make a fix immediately.
P.S. This only affects Linux though.

Re: I think you missed one! (audio waveform clipping)
Please tell me that cracking the game archive and checking every song for single instances of waveform clipping was not literally the first thing you did.

Re: KS fails on splash screen -- Arch Linux 64
KS is not really supported on Linux since there's nobody on the dev team to test it, we just release them because they're there and it's easy. And this does look like a problem with Ren'Py, distro-specific on top of that (unless other people have more details). I can only recommend to run it in a VM...

Re: Known technical issues & workarounds
6.10 has no OpenGL anyway. If anything, disabling it on 6.12 games will lead to fullscreen NOT working there either. But yeah, don't expect KS to support fullscreen under Lion when it comes out.

Re: Known technical issues & workarounds
Apparently GL-enabled versions of Ren'Py managed to avoid the issue by sheer chance. Needless to say, this is very bad news for me.

Re: Known technical issues & workarounds
If you want to do me a favor, you can download the latest Ren'Py SDK (http://www.renpy.org/dl/6.13.0/renpy-6.13.0-sdk.zip) and check that phenomenon is fixed in that version (just start the demo game). It's still highly unlikely that the final game will ship with a new engine, but I'd at least like ...

Re: Recommend a VN
Ever 17 had that in spades. After reading it for about a month, the entire plot seemed to be "Teenagers get stuck in facility, talk about random crap in a totally unconvincing way and play hide-and-seek. True enough, but what makes anyone like Ever17 is entirely in the last 20% or so. It was o...

Well they succeeded. To the degree that I will never touch an âge game again. I have better things to do than be trolled by smartass moe peddlers.Qaenyin wrote: MuvLuv Extra was stunningly bad on purpose. The entire point of MuvLuv Extra was to be stunningly bad.

Re: Recommend a VN
I wish I had an answer, I really do - tell me if you find one. The only thing that comes to mind is MuvLuv Alternative, which is supposed to be pretty epic. But I'm soured on the whole franchise because MuvLuv Extra was stunningly bad, I hate the character designs, and I've been badly burned by hype...

On a less negative note, play this:

Maybe a little bit pretentious, but hey. Best OELVN ever and not even trying to be one.

until the inevitable twists at the very end where it's revealed that Character A is actually a robot, Character B is just the existential remains of a dead guy, Character C is a time traveller, Character D is the human personification of the 18th of January, etc, etc, insert typical trying-too-hard...

I wouldn't recommend games before playing them, especially not terrible ones like Cross Channel.Teclo wrote:Just about to start playing Cross Channel.
