I don't know much of the info, but I'm sure their affiliation with 4chan goes a bit further than what you're saying. They DID name their team Four Leaf Studios, after all.

The game was made up of users from the site. I don't know if the board for Katawa Shoujo still exists (it might just be a general thread). Heck one of the devs is named "Anonymous75"

I can confirm it was no separate board, but rather two separate General Threads on two different boards; /ksg/ on the 'Videogame Generals' board and until recently KS/b/ on the 'Random' board.

Personally, I came to find Katawa Shoujo from the KS/b/ lot. Decent blokes, if you can ever get them on topic.

Also, Anonymous isn't always referencing 4chan it could be any other imageboard
