Well, all Hisao's narration says is "I see her take out four 5000 yen notes." Pretty sure, if I remember right. He says nothing about showing her which are which.

I'm sure blind people have a system for sorting their money. I'd guess that it involves folding the corners a certain way. Its something I'll have to look into.

I already did so. Various countries have money of differing width and length, some (Canada) put braille on the corners. For currencies lacking these distinctions (dollars and presumably yen), folds are indeed the method.
