KS-community in say... One year?

Post by gRaViJa »

Let's talk about us for a change ;) What do you think will have happened to the KS-community in a year or so? Will we still be analyzing every aspect of KS? Will some of us be trying to complete the couch to 25k program? Will there be any fan project that will be of the same quality of KS? Will some of the 4LS members work on a new project? Will this forum even still exist?

I'm going to say, it won't strong or popppin' as it was when KS was first release in full, but I do see a bit of a strong following but again, it won't be as strong as it was.

I think the same topics will be retreaded and many people will move on. A year later there will still be the people who visit the forum to check the message post a day. I might be one of them lol. Best to hold onto and cherish the memories and other cheesy sentiments. Though this forum allowed me a chance to talk about things I've been dealing with. Hopefully, I will leave this with a few friends that I don't have to pretend to be someone else for.

Then the thread explodes when KS2 is announced. ^^

Yeah, I agree. I have the feeling as long as the forums exist, they'll be new people who waltz in every few weeks or so. I'm going to lurk so I can greet and talk with them. Who knows? Maybe this cripple porn game may actually last the test of time. Well, I'll do my part to help it along anyways.

I'd say that interest in KS will depreciate in an exponential decline, but there'll always be people out there who'll be interested.
Since I can't imagine 4LS making a sequel, or in fact anything else, with no new released to garner a lot of new interest, interest in KS will inevitably wane, fewer new people arriving than old people leaving.

I do like that I can talk more honestly here though than many other places, so I'm still hanging around for a bit :P

I'm going to agree with this. There is very little chance that this community will ever be as popular as it is now or was a month or two ago, but there will be still some people hanging around here. If this forum is shut down by that time then I'm sure there will be another forum that we will all move too. KS will still be popular in the future too, most definitely.

I think I might still be here as a lurker, especially now that I have gotten into the genre of Visual Novels.

It'll have faded away some, but I doubt anyone here is ever going to forget the wonderful experience that KS is.
I'm quite sure that once I forget KS and then, sometime later, remember it, I'll visit these forums.

I'm glad I got here when it was booming. If I'd have come a year later, I'm sure it would be a ghost town. Or at least, significantly diminished.

I'm a very new member... I had not even though much about the forum until I started playing the game for myself. I've currently got 93% done in a couple of weeks and I am deeply touched by this game. I will definitely lurk, but I will still post if people are indeed here... I have a layout of what I am going to do today. Even if this board is gone one day when I try to return... I'll never forget what this game meant to me.

I go by the handle "Satori" by the way...

Unless new updates comes out during the year for KS, I don't think this forum will last.

I see, even still... I can imagine an influx of new people like myself making a pilgrimage here at least once. When this place is gone, I'm sure we'll all meet again...

*shrug* As long as the good authors don't leave, I'll stick around for the fanfic.
