I... don't understand... Sure there's, some similarity, but not enough to be distinctive. Music tends to share certain thematic similarities, but I certainly wouldn't compare the two.
It just left me thinking that I've heard something like it before, sorta like deja vu, and it took me a while to remember that scene from the movie. I know how easily misunderstangs can occur on the internet so I want to go ahead and say that I'm not trying to make any sort of accusations. It was similar sounding enough to the one from the movie that it made me remember that scene and I commented on it, that's all.

You're leaning more heavily towards synth-dance I see. While this new version is good on its own, I really enjoyed the clearer piano in the previous one. I find it too muffled by the other sounds in this one. It is, however, better as a dance track.

loving the remixes so far. I like the second edit of hanako much better.

I'm interested in what you could do with Lilly's theme.
My original play-through schedule: Hanako, Lilly, Emi, Shizune, Rin.
After playing through the game a second time, the revised list goes like this: Lilly, Hanako, Shizune, Emi, Rin.

I think what's missing in the second version of The Student Council is that it lacked the solid bass "base" that was present in the first version. The first iteration definitely had a heavier beat and felt like something you could jam to.

Your second version had several different ideas, each of which could've been their own remix. Your second half (1:08 on), I felt, could really stand on its own, especially considering how different it is from the first version. The samples you used reminded me of a Chinese Erhu, which brings a more nasal, Asian sound to it, which heavily contrasts the more Rave/Techno style of the first iteration and the first section of v2, respectively.

Strangely enough, I find I like the newer versions more when I'm not using my headphones whereas if I am, I prefer the simplicity of the originals.
Interesting how what you use to listen matters almost as much as what you're listening to.

I don't hate dub-step. It all comes down to whether or not you overuse certain parts. You know, like the annoying kinds.

I also kind of noticed a dub-step-ish vibe from the earlier WIPs. I'd like to see where you'd go with a full-on dub-step.

I really enjoyed Hanako's first version. That is some deep and nice shit and... why does it sound SO depressing?
While we are here discussing, Hanako is somewhere hopping from dark to darker tiles. Alone.
