Imagine the nice awkward moment when a stern, middle aged, straight laced interviewer takes a look at a resume and goes

"Katawa Shoujo, huh? I'm a bit of a Hanako fag myself but if I think about it, Rin is definitely my waifu."

Yeah, I'd totally put it on my resume.

if i was an employer and was looking over someone's resume and saw it was cpl_crud, i would tear up and hug him while screaming "YOU GAVE MY MY EARLY 20'S SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR"

I white-knighted for Hanako before the rest of you.

I got my Hanako path. To me, that's 100% completion.

PinkMagus wrote:Wait wait, you could totally put this on a resume, stuff like this makes people in the creative industry completely nuts (in a good way). If this is considered porn, then the entire romance genre of literature would just be erotica (which it isn't). Having sex in a artistic medium doesn't make it inherently pornographic. It goes back to the original intention of the work; is it primarily intended as a fap or forget? Or is is meant to be a story of romantic oddity? I'd say it would be the later.

And anyways, even if you do consider it erotica, that is still viable for a resume. A lot of people like people who are gutsy, and if you thought it'd get labeled as cripple porn but still put it on the resume because you were proud of it, that would definitely show guts.
This makes sense.
If the job was in any way related to writing, programing, whatever linked to games, VNs, this wouldn't be bad. KS isn't a hated totally evil thing. It's praised and worshiped. If the employer is a modern man (the further we go to the future, the more likely it is) and he uses the web sometimes to kill time, he COULD have heard of KS and say "Hmmm... interesting!"

At least as an employer, I'd take someone who did KS then some regular boring guy with no special experience.

But in the end it would (at least should) boil down to what is it that you want them for. If you want a math teacher for a calculus class, would it be wise to ask crud? I only know he works on stuff related to sound equipment, but does he know math and how to teach?
And then we go back to many employers, and this I've seen, that choose on petty discrimination rather than skill.... Oh, how I hate that bitch...

Well, this certainly makes me feel better about gambling away my life's saving and getting aids from a hooker.

It would be interesting for those involved to spin this project in such a way that emphasizes the teamwork and global distribution aspect. That's probably the extend of "anything" writers/editors can get. Artists can include art/music in a sample portfolio, if they thought it was good compared to other stuff they have done. Anyone managing a certain aspect can try to play that up if they are applying to a position in which they would be placed in charge of people. All this is assuming you have nothing more interesting to talk about in your resume, although I suppose certain high-technology firms might be interested in the events that allowed KS to be made. It certainly shows you're tech-savvy.

However, all of this is kind of like advertising on 4chan. Nobody -- much less the devs -- wants to be associated with it in a professional manner.
