Extras > Library tells me I missed "Slow Recovery".
However! I
do get to the text of Slow Recovery, starting with
NARRATOR: "The halls are quiet as the courtyard was, naturally so since everyone is in class. I knock lightly at the door of 3-3 and push open the door when Mutou calls from the other side."
At this point the right-click menu tells me I'm in "No recovery".
Any idea why this may be?

A technicality is why you see "Slow Recovery". To actually get "Slow Recovery" to count in your library, you need to essentially be actively be pursuing both Shizune and Emi - the key feature of the "Slow Recovery" event is forcing Hisao to choose between Shizune and Emi (and Kenji).

The question why I get to the slow recovery text actually am in no recovery still is a head scratcher....

Probably just a quirk of the scripting to avoid redundant text and make all the logic gates work properly. They could either have had the first section "Slow Recovery" with the choice hidden behind a logic gate, or alternately had the script in "No Recovery" drop into "Slow Recovery" when/if the logic gate was triggered, then drop back into "No Recovery" if Kenji/Emi were chosen.
The former is a bit more elegant, if confusing.
