Oh! Exactly! And this is why I always see my female friends around reading some romance novels with pictures and music!
Trust me, women read romance novels. A lot of them listen to music as they do so. Just throw some pictures into the appeal and you have a pitch.
A statement of fact. It's genetically imprinted in our conscience. Broken ones are exiles in most societies.

Okay, writing down: "Atario is raging racist and anti-Darwinist", amirite?
You know, women tend to ignore physically-impaired men. Because their subconsciousness tells them that their kids won't be healthy either. And the main
point of Darwinian theory is that "Only the most adapted being survives". By Darwin, those, who are somehow impaired should not prolong their "crippled" bloodline.
During ancient times, a blind man had much less chances of surviving. During our days we have lots of tools to give those disabled people much needed comfort, but it does not cancel the fact that they are disabled.
I am not going further with this, because the consequences can be severe.

But thank you anyway for sharing your thought. And posting it here. =D

Like has already been discussed, the question is not whether or not it would affect them as such - it is more so how likely they would be to get drawn in to KS in the first place in my opinion. Anyone with a heart will be affected by KS - if you do not get feels at this game, I'm sorry, but you have no soul. None. Not even the tiniest little bit of one. :P

As has also been previously discussed, it is a shame that other VN's and Dating Sim's give this kind of genre a bit of a bad name. I'll admit, to date, KS has been my one and only VN experience, simply because it was such a pure and good experience that has actually drawn me fully into the story, I don't want to try another incase it's just sexsexsexsexsexsexdialoguesexsexsexsexsex. It would ruin the idea of VN's for me. I can only imagine what a female would think...first off at the animé style art coupled with the fact that they are disabled sex scenes could give them the impression that it is just another hentai game for people with fetishes, which is mind-numbingly far from the truth.

I agree with what was said before, it is something that needs to be discovered and experienced on one's own. =D

But then you get into the realm of possibilities wherein the following exchange takes place: "Soooo my friend recommended this anime game and I played it and there's like full-on sex scenes with crippled girls. Dude's into some weird shit. Let's never talk to him again."

It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't kind of situation. Personally I think the best way to discover KS is on your own. Or recommended by a friend who knows you well enough that you won't be immediately put off by an anal scene with a loli-type legless girl in a track shed.
Thats why I only share it with people who know me. If they can play through KS and still think of Lilly as "That blind girl", or Emi as "That chick with no legs" then they're seriously lacking in emotional maturity and don't deserve my friendship, or KS.

Its right up there with "Anime is about tentacle porn". Screw those people.

I pretty much agree with pandaphil. If you show someone this VN, and they play through it and all they have to say is "DUDE...fuck you and your hentai crap!!" then it just shows that they aren't mature enough to see past the sex and the disability aspect.

I think there was a thread around here for VN recommendations? I'm sure someone can point to a couple of good ones that don't have sex scenes, if that's what you're trying to avoid.

In what universe is conscience genetic? Which part of our DNA is responsible for wise-cracking devils on our shoulders?
I love the interpretation of Pac-Man where he's a just a lowly worker retrieving golf balls left all over the course by the rich masters and the ghosts are all previous workers who got conked on the head and killed by incoming golf balls in the line of duty.

I don't mind a few sex scenes, just as long as it wasn't all about 'getting laid' and there was some kind of emotional reason behind it all :)

Thanks for the recommendation guys, I'm new here so wasn't aware of it. I will give it a look!=D

There's a few ways you can tell if a VN is mostly about sex:
-The Visual Novel DataBase (VNDB) will say how much sexual content (if any) is in the VN.
-Look at the length of the VN on VNDB. VN's under a certain length (under 10 hours) are more inclined to be about sex (but not always)

There's absolutely no meaning in his statement made after my post, so there's no meaning in my post following his statement about my post. It's okay in the internet.
I thought I'd ask him how the fuck did he derive his statement based on my post as his homework, but according to the way he writes he'll just skip that and call me something rude.

I think my favorite part of that article is where it mentions disabilities. Oh wait. No. It doesn't. I mean, my favorite part is where it talks about humans: women choosing men who are the most unlike themselves, according to microbiological criteria based on subconscious scent signals. Which is totally the same thing.

But I'm sure you, being the expert in human evolutionary psychology, will be back shortly to tell me where I'm wrong, as are all people everywhere who are, or have ever been, in love with disabled people.
I thought I'd ask him how the fuck did he derive his statement based on my post as his homework, but according to the way he writes he'll just skip that and call me something rude.

Ah, that's better.

Well, see, I've been arguing online more than long enough to recognize when someone is Sure He Has The Truth™. I find there to be little point in trying to convince the unconvincible. So instead I merely attempt to entertain myself, and where possible, onlookers. Not saying the attempt is always successful, but hey.

As for calling someone something rude, I believe you're the only one who's done that so far, chum. Might want to reread the thread and then think a bit.

I mean, what the hell did Darwin have to do with my thread?

But whatever, just don't pollute this thread okay?
