I just finished Rin's route.

Post by friedjellybeans »

I believe I got what is considered to be the neutral ending. It was so sad, especially when she says "I can't hug anyone". I kind of want to jump back in and correct it, and get the good ending, but perhaps it's too early. What would you do?

Go good sir, go from this place immediately and earn your good ending. :D

I think I will then. I just didn't want to have to go through the first few acts again. Maybe I'll try going through them, but this time quitting the art club. Can I still achieve Rin's good ending if I don't choose to continue being a part of the art club?

*consults flow chart*

Yes - Rin's is the most complex of routes but only two choices determine your ending, and those are your final two choices.

Being in or out of the art club gives you different scenes on the path to these crucial choices but you still end up at the same point. Also whichever set of scenes there are, you have a choice that determines whether you have 1 choice that leads away from the bad ending or 2 choices. After that you have another choice that determines neutral or good. So as I understand it's simply that final choice you need to go back to.

Go back. Choose wisely. Bring tissues.

Rin's route is the most needlessly complex in terms of choices... but somehow, that fact works to the route's advantage.

"You could never hug, Rin. And your mural's awful."
<KeiichiO>: "I wonder what Misha's WAHAHA's sound like with a cock stuffed down her throat..."
<Ascension>: "I laughed, cried, vomited in my mouth a little, and even had time for marshmallows afterwards. Well played, Xanatos. Well played."
<KeiichiO>: "That's a beautiful response to chocolate."

This is why you make a lot of save points.

There is a unique thing about Rin's route: the minor choices, the ones that *don't* determine your final ending, can determine which scenes you get and how those scenes are played. To get the whole story one needs to go through them. You get the main ideas in any one path, but the details change.

Rin is the gift that keeps on giving.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm gonna start over. I should have created save points but it's okay. Rin is super awesome so I'm totally okay with doing it again. Like I said, this time I'll have Hisao quit the art club, just at least to keep things fresh. At least this way I won't have to put up with Nomiya as much.

On another note, who is your favorite?

I have yet to play through Hanako's path, and Lily's. I think the other girls are awesome, my favorite being Rin so far. However, as far as true love goes, I believe Hisao's meant to be with Emi. They just fit together like two pieces of a puzzle. And while I like the other characters, they're more like flings. If there was one, straight-lined story to KS, I think Hisao would end up with Emi.

On yet another note, why on earth does Yuuko not have a path? :(

What about the library in the main menu? Can I just start from somewhere in there and continue on? Would I basically be viewing the same paths I chose, or would I be able to make new choices?

Nope. The library will only show you to the end of that particular scene.

Alright, here's my advise: Play Hanako's, then Lilly's.

In my opinion, Hanako's route is the best, but I feel Lilly's should be saved for last since it everything seems to come full-circle in the good ending, more-so then in any other route.

Especially seeing as how Lilly's route has an epilogue after the good ending. It's the only route that has one iirc.
I write take a look, would you kindly?
I also draw, kind of.
