KS Scene Illustrations

Post by Snicket »

Well guys rather then posting these in the "Blooper Reel" thread. I've decided to give them of their own. So for now on all Yamaku Man's and Storyteller's scenes that i shop will be posted here.

To kick things off. Here is the last scene shop i did for Storyteller's thread.

-Edit: Well guys it seems this thread is taking a bit of time to load, so unless you got a super fast connection. It take a while to load. So to take some of the load off, every things going to be 'thumb nails'

Very nice as always. I do wish you could have shopped some blood onto Kenji, but that's ok. Can't wait to see what you'll do for Storyteller's thread tomorrow night.

I honestly did try, but i couldn't get it to look right. The blood and 'damage' looked like it was slapped on.

Have you considered an making the blood layer an overlay instead, or multiply or something? It usually blends better into the former image.

Yeah, I can see why. Don't worry, though. Keep practising, and you'll eventually be able to make it look nice.

actually i did that, the overlay of colors was my sad attempt at making it look like blood was soaking into his jacket. I tried to make it 'anime-ish' with out going gory....i failed ;_;

well like i mentioned in the previous message, i tried to make it not so realistic. I could of made it look really bad (bad meaning good in this part) if i would of messed with it for a while, but this was literally a 6 minute shop that i did.

<Suriko> I am not overly hot on the use of obviously extracted game assets
<Aura-> yeah
<Aura-> you could say that on the thread
<Aura-> that it's a real concern that him using extracted game assets can cause them being mistaken for actual game content
I've been tossing up whether or not to lock, but decided against it. This is kind of a grey area though.

It shouldn't be a problem if it's stated from the very beginning that it's completely a fan-made scene. Perhaps a sort of water-mark on every image that states it. Of course, doing that would completely depend on the one creating it (Snicket in this case), but considering that he's doing some editing that takes time, adding a small but visible notice would be pretty easy.
