Birthday gifts for the cast

Post by Numb »

Sorry if a thread like this exists already, I did minimal searching because I need to get back to writing my Miki route (Second chapter might be up later tonight).

So recently some friends and I had a discussion on Skype concerning what we would give each girl for their birthday. The suggestions were serious at first, but, as you can probably tell, ended with terrible jokes about the girls disabilities. So, I would like to extend this question to you, what would you get each girl - or any other character for that matter - for their birthday.

Personally, I would get:
A hat for Misha (I think she would suit it)
Some music for Rin (She is said to find inspiration from it)
A laptop for Shizune (So she can store student council data more efficiently)
A new gown for Hanako
Some wine for Lilly
A poncho for Emi (So she can run in the rain without getting sick)

And who could forget, the entire series of "Keeping up with the Kardashians" for Kenji

Lilly: Californian wine, from the 1960s or 80s.
Hanako: Phantom of the Opera in book format, assuming she's never read it. Or, maybe, the Circle series by Ted Dekker.
Rin: A unicycle?
Emi: Same with Steinherz on this one. Tickets to the Olympics.
Shizune: Give her a device that'll speak what she typed in.
Misha: I have no idea...

Can add one for personal reasons? Miki: Swimming learns. I doubt she swims, as she's missing a hand, even though, swimming without hands is easy. Trust me on that.

Lilly: With Xaredian on this one. Californian wine is best wine and this has nothing to do with the fact that I'm from that state.
Hanako: The Thrawn Trilogy
Rin: ???
Emi: What Steinherz said: tickets to the Olympics.
Shizune: Hearts of Iron II
Misha: A vibrator :P

Routes: Lilly=Hanako=Shizune>Emi>Rin
Girls: Shizune=Lilly=Hanako>Emi>Rin=Misha
So many people cheering on Hisao cheating with Misha....To cheat on popular people is horrendous. To cheat on unpopular people is harmless?

Ponchos keep you dry. They don't magically avert illness.

Lilly: A drinking hat.
Hanako: The complete works of George R.R. Martin.
Rin: Panties and oranges,
Emi: Platform attachments for her running blades.
Shizune: A week off from council work.
Misha: A giant birthday parfait.

I still feel guilty that I've never even touched one of his books...

Another gift, if Hanako's particularly depressed: A slideshow of her "family" with Lilly/Hisao set to appropriately cliche music.

I myself haven't, either. I'm well served by surfing the series' wiki, and reading up on the individual events. Purple prose doesn't quite agree with me (Martin fares better than the late Robert Jordan in this. Bless him, but Wheel of Time got streamlined after he passed on.) It helps that I have a friend who read the books.

Ah, I just never got around to it. It's something like six books and each one pretty thick...Someday, when Game of Thrones has wrapped and hopefully won't color my perceptions...

For Hanako, a baseball bat so she's ready to improve on her bad end and beat Hisao to death for being an idiot and not taking a hint.
For Shizune a baseball bat so she's ready to improve on her bad end and beat HIsao to death for being an idiot and "Comforting" Misha.
For Lilly a baseball bat so she's ready to improve on her bad end and beat Hisao to death for being an idiot and spending so much time being a whining asshole when she could have used his support.
For Emi a baseball bat so she's ready to improve on her bad end and beat Hisao to death for being an idiot and only showing character in the arc of the least interesting character out of the five candidates.
For Rin a baseball bat and bionic arms so she's ready to improve on her bad end and beat Nomiya to death for being a character even worse than Hisao.
For Yuuko a baseball bat so she's ready to make her own arc of dispelling the rumor that Kenji was her boyfriend by beating him to death for being an insufferably annoying piece of shit who never should have been in the final product.
For Misha, nothing, because fuck Misha and fuck pink hair.

I like to give practical gifts when i'm obligated by arbitrary passage of time, saving more personal gifts for personal holidays between myself and the person receiving the gift. I also am going through Katawa Shoujo again and hating Hisao.
