Why would Lilly just keep her eyes closed? That'd be pointless and stupid.

To avoid overloading her brain with images? It's not like it's going to help her; even is she could see for the first few months at least she'd have difficulty with depth perception. She'd bump into stuff more often with her eyes open than with them closed, not to mention probably have a splitting headache any time something went fast.

It would, however, make birthday gifts very easy. "Hey Lilly, I got you a kaleidoscope!"

Yeah, because adjusting to her new senses would totally not help in any way...You know...Aside from adjusting to her new senses.

I would think Lilly would start off by practicing reverse blinking, opening her eyes for a split second every minute or so.

Maybe. That, or she could wear a blindfold twenty-four seven if she really didn't want to bother with sight.

Or she could just, you know, throw bleach on her eyes if she didn't want to see. Or even gouge them out with a cucumber.

...

This is why we can't have nice things. Like Deus Ex Machina.

And that wink after 'cucumber' implies many, many wrong possibilities. A Xanatos level of absurdity/ohgodwhy-ness.

I'm having disturbing thoughts of a random KS girl grinning like the Joker, while another girl is sobbing with .. somthing sticking out from an eye socket. And the blood pouring out from the wound.

Ignoring the stupidness of the last few posts ...

I just imagine Rin saying something to the effect of, "Arms of kind of dangly and heavy. Everyone else I know has at least one arm, but nobody ever mentions that. It's weird. They bend funny too."

Honestly through, for Lilly, I'd imagine it would be like throwing her into some bizarre Lovecraftian nightmare, where's constantly being exposed to things her mind couldn't even conceive of before. Shizune would probably have a similar reaction, although not quite as bad.

And Kenji with the actual ability to see things could be outright dangerous.

Kenji with sight...I like to think his bad sight is the cause of his paranoia. He sees Lovecraftian monsters everywhere.
