Hanako, i won't lie. Your hangover will be excruciatingly painful, you won't remember who gave you what, and the regrets at that age only pile up. The eighteenth year of your life is going to suck, and things won't improve until the 20th. Just be glad the party they forced you to attend was small.

We're not forcing ourselves to be happy on your behalf for your birthday.Well, we are, really, but everyone does that for everyone's brithday, you're not specialin that regard.
Just go with it and enjoy people being happy for you. Be happy with them. It's what they want, and it feels good. For good or ill, these people cared enough to make the effort of looking happy, so don't let that go to waste. If you show them you're happy, everyone will be happy.Well maybe not, but if you don't nobody will be for sure.
