Soviet wallpapers have a bug

Post by Guest »

The sign on soviet-style wallpapers reads "ранение девушки" which means "wounding a girl". It does not make much sense.

"Девушки-инвалиды" is direct translation of "disability girls". "Инвалидки" is acceptable and sound like Soviet official style.

Russian langauge still does not have polite term for disability humans ("инвалид" sounds like "invalid"), so "девушки-инвалиды" and "инвалидки" are rather rude terms.

The Japanes "Katawa" is also an insult. Think of that what you will. It should not be much of a problem, anyway.
Life, what is it but a dream?
זה מגניב אותי כל פעם מחדש, העובדה שיש פה עברית. אני תוהה אם מישהו ישים לב ששיניתי חתימה.

My understanding is that it is not so much insulting as a rather archaic word with negative connotations. Sort of like pumping out cesspools for a living. The job has to be done but you catch a ration of bad jokes from people for doing it and it sure is not prestigious.

It's a spoiler, not a bug. Yandere Hisao gets his revenge after nobody goes out with him in the Kenji path.
"I don't care," said Pierre, "I'm from France."

Now in handy DeviantArt form.
