Widescreen?

Will the final release have support for using full screen on widescreen monitors? Even if it's just black bars on the sides like a reverse letterbox that would be great.

Black bars is something your graphics card driver should be capable of for displaying resolutions using the correct aspect ratio.

When I do that all the images are distorted, ie everyone makes actual-Misha look anorexic.

Juno where would I find that option? I tried looking through the utility that got installed with my graphics card driver but couldn't find anything.

In my case I open the Nvidia control panel, go to the Change Flat Panel scaling screen and then check the Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio option.

Where pray tell is that option? My nVidia Control Panel features:

Adjust image settings with preview
Manage 3D settings
Set PhysX configuration

Change resolution
Adjust desktop color settings
Adjust desktop size and position
Rotate display
View HDCP status
Set up multiple displays

Adjust video color settings
Adjust video image settings

Edit: Nevermind, found it under Adjust Desktop Size and Position, though there's no "Change Flat Panel scaling" header anywhere. Could be because I'm using Forceware 190.62 still, due to recent drivers being shitty with some games I play.

Edit 2: Annoying; I apply it, and it bounces back to using the display's native by default. Oh well; I mainly wanted it for Tachyon: The Fringe, anyway, not KS.

Apparently that's just a display bug. The setting is still applied. At least, that's how it was with me.

Ugh. You MIGHT get some results overriding your display timings using some tweaking application, but that's a field I've never trodded in.

are you using a laptop or a desktop? cause if you're using a desktop then the option is in your monitor. for some reason windscreen monitors are defaulted to stretch the screen instead of letterboxing it. you'll have to go through your monitor's menus.

but if it's a laptop then it should be somewhere in the display driver's menu.

I got my Hanako path. To me, that's 100% completion.

Not true of all monitors (read: my primary monitor). I'm using a Samsung 2232BW as display 1, on the right, and a ViewSonic VX2240w as display 2, on the left. Only the ViewSonic supports 4:3 aspect ratio in hardware.

But it is true for mine, luckily. Thanks, DESU!
