I guess it's just finally down to directing?
Well, obviously, if the writing is not finished, I guess that means that it is not just the directing that is left but also the writing...
Or do I misunderstand your question somnehow?
I'm saying how is the art done when the writing isn't officially finish. The writing would dictate the needed art, right? So what if a last minute change would be needed? (Doubtful as i expect most of the act would be finalized by now if the art is done.)
Also known as the artist formerly known as Commissioner Castration.

It's possible they've finished writing Rin's path and just haven't told us. As of Jan 1st, Rin's Act 4 was in its second draft and directing was done for Acts 1 through 3.

I white-knighted for Hanako before the rest of you.

Wait, I thought the "direction" being finished meant the path was basically finalized, so why the long gap between the direction being done for Hanako and the art being done?

Direction is transforming the writan into a working system of scenes, dialogue, choices and CGs whereas art assets are... Art assets. They could be using placeholders to finish the direction beforehand.

I am absolutely loving the picture of Hanako that was posted for the update. It just seems to hit all the right notes with me, from the way she's got her hair out of the way as a display of confidence, to that wink with a smile. It seems like every time I see that picture, I find myself smiling as well. The effect isn't even subject to diminishing returns, as every time I've thought of it for the past ~7 hours, I found the edges of my mouth curling upwards. Just a little.

Any chance we could get some Rin art as well, now that she's done?

Bastards, my words don't taste very good. Good job with Rin.
It's a good thing Shizune is deaf, she is the only one who can stand (not) hearing "Wahaha~!" over and over.

So, art is the last thing that needs to be done for a path? So, Hanako and Rin are completely done? We know Lilly and Emi are done with Direction, so we're just waiting on Shizune and some art.
