The preview is amazing, I don't think i could really say anything that hasn't already been said about it but I would like to say that I adored the game and will patiently await the full release.

Ah, and on a semi but probably actually un related side note, went out with a deaf girl for a while. Slurred sign language is hilarious and i hope that at some point Shizune gets a nice buzz going so luls may be had.

So far, this is amazing. Shizune and Hanako are my favourite girls, with Misha being my least favourite. The art is extremely good, the script is near-flawless, and the music is excellent. When I first downloaded this around three months ago, I expected it to be, basically, cripple pr0n. It has turned out to be more "they're normal people, they have disabilities, as they are people, they do fall in love, and that leads to sex" that "zomgraeptehretard". A definite five stars for this amazing game.
Shizune is mai waifu, and Hanako is mai... other waifu. Bigamy ftw.

Hey. Just played it and thought it was excellent. Not only is the visual material and writing high standard but its nice to see that it deviates from the expected slapstick and underhanded jabs at the disabilities. Very entertaining and hoping the branches will follow in this spirit.

Nice Crying Lot of 49 reference towards the end too.

I don't quite get your meaning here.

I suspect this is because in some paths more things happen in the festival preparation, and they might make up for it with more things happening after the festival.

I may agree with this, but it's pretty much convention for visual novels not to show a sprite for the protagonist, and only show him in the "CG" (event drawings).

Fate/stay night has a part where you read from the perspective of one of the other characters, and then you see Shirou in sprite form, but the rest of the time he is sprite-less.

Seriously tough, just because an idea originated via /a/ on 4chan doesn't make it a bad one. TV-Tropes isn't exactly the most serious website on the web either. And it is an adult themed visual novel after all, so it doesn't make sense to say "Oh yes I play this pornographic video game about disabled girls, but I'm too good for anything on that board where those freaks discuss anime and manga."

You've done an excellent job.

I was told about Katawa through word of mouth. A friend of mine mentioned it offhandedly, and, in spite of boredom, I decided to try it out. I was expecting something of a makeshift conglomeration of mediocre artwork, plot, and a smattering of tasteless pornographic images. Obviously, you've exceeded my expectations in ways unimaginable, for I am absolutely thrilled with the progress of this game.

Great. Very impressive.
I'm lacking the right description for this overly impressive preview.
At first, I was hesitant about whether I should really play this VN but I obviously made the right decision in playing it after all.
Although I don't know much about how VN's are made or how much work has actually been done, I was totally astonished at how entertaining this one single preview was for me.
The girls are really nice and their personalities are complex, too, (well, except for Misha and Emi but they're lovely anyway) and the story is quite special, as well as the setting. I mean, it's really interesting and all. Quite different from what I've seen before.
I still lack the right words and I cannot even guess how much work and time you guys put in it but in my opinion the game is quite the masterpiece.
I'm really looking forward to the full release and want to thank you for a game this brilliantly.
Finally, I have something to do with my time.
Good work, guys.

I have never played any other visual novel before so i have no real reference point on which to judge KS. I do, however, think that the game is excellent overall. I heard about the game from a web comic i follow occasionally. Being bored, I decided to give KS a try and I was astounded. The story is compelling and tastefully executed, especially considering the premise. All of the characters are interesting and unique. I also really enjoyed the sound track and art. If i had to give any complaints, it would be that Lilly's sprite when she puts her hand up and cups her face looks somewhat unnatural to me. This is more of a question but, why is the scene Pseudo Tea Cosy not part of the cg gallery? Again, this is an excellent game and I look forward to the full release.

MOD EDIT: Sorry for the double post, but I was also wondering why the scene in Shared Library, when you meet Hanako, is not also part of the cg gallery.

MORE MOD EDIT: Very sorry about a third consecutive post, but I need to correct some of my previous statements. I did find the scene from Shared library in the cg gallery, i just missed it the first time i looked. Also, in regards to the scene from Pseudo Tea Cosy, I am aware that the segment displaying Lilly alone is in the cg gallery. My question was why the portion that also shows Hisao sitting across from Lilly is not included.

My first ever visual novel I've played was this. I was surfing around the net idly doing nothing and came across Fakku, and suddenly I introduced myself to this. Honestly saying, it's plain beautiful. Since I'm completely foreign to visual novel (I know I'm weird, very), this game made my day absolutely entertaining and happy.

Although the addiction wasn't exactly a good thing as I now roam around searching for more VNs and neglecting my studies, but that's another story.

While I might say I regret that there would be no voice actors (Would there be an opening movie though in the full version?), the game itself deserves full marks. This is probably the first time I ever come by a virtual game with beautifully written English; my hobby is reading and I was thrilled to see this. It made the scenes all the more realistic and true as I receive the two-sided information both graphically and from text.

The moral value of this story is very high. Obviously this is a delicate subject so it would be handled much more carefully than any other stories, but this is just incredible.

If I were to rate the characters, Shizune and Rin would win top place. Shizune because it really felt like hope (And in a way the first main character gets more showdown?); Rin because she is unique. I noticed that these two characters were given special attention if you were to compare between the girls. Unfortunately I can't say the same for Emi... her cuteness felt fake somehow, I dunno.

I hope the full version would be very long. I felt dissatisfied with visual novels that ended way too quickly (In my opinion), and with replay value only on H-scenes. Persona 4 was a PS2 game I thoroughly enjoyed because it depicted an entire year of events; of course it would be crazy to expect the same from visual novels but hopefully when the full version comes out it would be filled to the brim with colorful events, sad or happy, pretty or ugly.

Congratulations for producing such a wonderful story.

I always forget that 4chan doesn't consist of just /b/. Installing this, I was expecting to get a laugh at disabled people's expense. Instead I get a beautifully done story with amazing music that sets the moods perfectly (apart from a few scenes).

So far my favorite Act 1 endings are Rin's, Emi's, Hanako's, and KENJI'S.

KENJI IS THE FUCKING MAN, just saying.

Nothing to complain about, just a few typos here and there.
I look forward to the full release.

(This was also my first VN experience, so sorry if this seems like a "BEST VN EVAR" type of response). It's certainly the best I've ever experienced, though that doesn't say much.

I just stumbled across this game one day while reading some other forums, I didn't quite know what to expect, but I downloaded it anyway.

And wow, I was pleasantly surprised!

The artwork is great, the music is great, the characters are all unique and enjoyable, and I love the concept of Katawa Shoujo. Originally I wasn't quite sure if this was a serious story or a comedy, but after playing it I can see that it has a little bit of both, but it never gets distasteful and is always entertaining and even somewhat heartwarming...

I can't wait until the game is finished, I want more of this!

Absolutely loved the game. The writing is brilliant, the music is amazing (love Rin's and Hanako's themes to death) the visuals are beautiful. I'm interested in getting to know each of the characters, and learning more about them, something I rarely feel with other games, or even movies. If I had to pick just one girl, it'd be a tough decision, that's how drawn in I am with each of them. I can't think of anything bad to say, one of the best games I've ever played!

We can all agree that this game is one of the best, now we play the waiting game.

(AKA the game that we play when something really good is coming and spend our entire time on the Internet)
