Heh...well, except it's usually limited to one chapter at a time. I also want to see how people view the work as a whole, once it is a whole (and it's getting quite close, finally).
Rin is orthogonal to everything.

That leaves me feeling a little sad. It was one of the first things I encountered when I first came here. :(
Hmmmmmm, well, if enough people wanted to I suppose i could keep it moving at the very least, is there any interest though? It's been a while.
I'm primarily a lurker here, but I'd definitely like to see this continue, if not under your beneficent hand then under a successor's. It's introduced me to a couple fics I hadn't read before and given me a new perspective on those I had.

Well collecting suggestions and choosing titles is not that much work - I could do that if noone else wants to - but any successor won't be able to edit the OP.

Hmmmm, I had not thought there was enough reason to continue. I see I was wrong. If everybody wants to see if we can pick it back up, let this be a test run.

Two Queens Author: Yuzuru's-Angel Words: 15,598

It is on FF.net, but I've been away a while and I'm not sure what all is new or old enough it's worth having a meeting about, so hopefully nobody's read this too recently. It was rather cute, and not too AU. I'm not sure how long exactly it will take for everyone to read, so lets say we shall meet on the 16th. C'yall then

Oh, dear, gender-switch? Ah, well, I'll give it a shot for the sake of the book club!

Huh. I never actually took much interest in the book club before, but I think this may help[ me with my own writing. I think I shall participate.

Ooh! I noted only what happened after Act 1 and decided not to read it. But on second inspection, it looks more interesting one year after I first saw it...

I can make it so any successor will become able to edit the OP, if desired.

Interesting premise for an AU with the most obvious points being: gender swapped Hisao and Miki for Emi. The text is uneven (typos etc) but Hisako's character comes across very clearly; she can make minor missteps but she's nowhere as dejected and self-loathing as the original, although perhaps she seems more self-absorbed. Her friendship with Hanako seems a bit hurried in development before it sort of slows down a lot. Conclusion: a lot more could've been done with this piece, and maybe should've, if it was to have been a route.

And brythain managed to cut down the incredibly long thoughts that I writing down in word very nicely. The only think I really have to add is that I found the incredibly brief prologue outside of the hospital to be kind of unnecessary.
It was interesting to read through, but I don't think I'll be coming back to it anytime soon.

The unfortunate thing with most divergence fics is that people give up on them when they start to get hard -- namely, when they need to actually start diverging. This one was no exception, as the author apparently dropped it just as they would have needed to start creating something original. SO MUCH of the text was just straight from the game with only minor tweaking, and as brythain pointed out the development of the relationship was rushed (with a fair amount of stuff from later on in Hanako's route wedged into the story's Act One). It's an idea that has potential with a decent writer at the helm, but this was really a moderately-sized ball of nothing special.

ETA: One thing I forgot to mention is my annoyance at Miki running into Hisako in the hallway. She was pretty badly OOC during that scene, I think. Miki is not Emi, nor is she a blank slate on which you can overlay Eminence.
Rin is orthogonal to everything.
