Me too, but there are clearly many suitable texts in the library that would go with such a festival. :)
Post-Yamaku, what happens? After The Dream is a mosaic that follows everyone to the (sometimes) bitter end.

when shall we resume the meetings?
Hello there, i am not in fact dead, I simply made the terrible mistake of trying to upgrade my hard drive which has lead to my computer deciding now was a good time to die terribly, so I went and got another (that took a week) and finally I think, maybe I have it working, possibly.
Despite the world' apparent hatred of me, we can resume finally, thanks to Brythain for covering for me. I'll have the next story up later today

Poll time!
Ususaly I'd just post some random story that interests me, but one of the last 30k+ word fics in the library is rather . . . . non standard. As such, I just wanted to make sure everyone owuld actually want to read it, versus a selection of 'normal' fare, as much as can be expected that is. So yes, PM or post, idk, the use of the poll bars eludes me so we can do it old fashioned like.

Katawa Superpowers - Epilogue by Chrono180 (completed, 38.031 words)
The Enemy Within - Epilogue by Chrono180 (completed, 42.873 words)
The Man in the Mirror - Epilogue by Chrono180 (completed, 34.452 words)
PoV: Hisao; Pairings: Hisao X Lilly, Shizune X Misha, Kenji X Yuuko; Begins: after Lilly good end
Remarks: crossover: X-Men, 3rd part only available via external link.
(One at a time, or just the original if we do read it)

Nope.

The clutter of posts caused by polling preferences would be a no-no. Therefore, PMs only.

I enjoyed it. Thought it was gonna be a typical "SOOPER SPESHUL OC CHARUCTERRR" fic, but was glad to be shown otherwise. By the end of it I found myself excited for the next chapter before realizing, well...there is no next chapter. Still, it was an enjoyable read, no doubt about that.

Pre-full release, no white space between paragraphs, one-sentence paragraphs...ugh. It's like my worst KS-related reading nightmare. So, for the sake of my mental and ocular health, I must pass on this meeting. Sorry, SC.

The formatting was indeed a nightmare, but the story itself was all right. Chiyo makes for an interesting character, one I would not have minded learning more about. I enjoyed the play with the honorifics between her and Hisao - I'm not stingy about their inclusion, but it would have been something that was lost had this been written in accordance with the finalized dev writing handbook, or whatever they refer to it as.

To me, this is a beautiful short piece for quite a few reasons.

1. It's an alternative Act 1 for an OC!
2. It gives us a glimpse into a possible almost-Lilly route that got subverted.
3. It gives us a look at the Junior/2nd Year dorm, which is very rare.
4. It introduces old characters and new ones with enough characterization.
5. It promises quite a bit if there had ever been an Act 2.
6. I can't help thinking Chiyo would be great anti-Rika, so to speak.
7. But she and Shimada are almost like a Lilly/Shizune pairing.
8. The use of language: "We can be each other's well…" and suchlike.
.
.
n. Only one typo ('Ciyo'). :)

Because it doesn't exist as such, perhaps. Remember that Hanako has a neighbor who is canonically an underclassman (and who is not-so-canonically named Noriko ).

Maybe it's just the floor below, and Noriko (ahem) is overflow. :)

But that said, for me it's a fascinating insight into earlier conceptualisations of Yamaku life.
