For anyone wanting to know, I highly recommend it. It's awesome.

Leaty, if it helps any, I follow this story because the others have said: Your choice of words and new approach to a VN that is running out of fresh things to fanfic with. Whether Iwanako ends up with a guy or girl matters not, just as long as it's wonderfully written. I don't mean a very graphic, hardcore porn-level love scene, just romantic and intimate.

As far as worrying if I will just think yti thoughts because you use your personal experiences and you identify yourself as you do, don't. If anything, because you're going through a little love thing IRL, that just means I expect some real heart and soul in the story.

Like the whole thing of My Teenage RomCom SNAFU, I want to feel and see genuine things and that's what I love about the popular fanfics in this fanbase: the heart and the ability to get me roped in and feel attached to the characters. And since my real life experiences are horrible and still not going so well, I try to get my fill from you guys (my closest thing to genuine, if you will). I know it sounds pathetic, but I do what I can and you guys just give me something to look forward to when real life goes sour.

....Alright, I'm gonna stop there before this gets too depressing and creepy. :\

It was, I think, the best one-shot I've read this year, whether fanfic or professionally-published, silly or not.

Well, you certainly managed to surprise me. I thought I actually knew where this was going, and I couldn't have been more wrong.

Trash Panda is the name of my grunge band.

I didn't think you could get any cooler, but then you went and name-dropped one of my favorite stories. If this turns out to be that kind romance story (minus the vampirism, of course), I'll be very happy. :D
Leaty wrote:EDIT: It also bears mentioning that I wrote a story here that was positively dripping with homoromantic subtext and literally nobody caught on without my walking them through it.
I sort of picked up on it, but only in the way that fans (in every fandom) tend to read into every minor thing in order to build a case for a ship they'd like to see happen. But sometimes friendship is just friendship, and I didn't want to assume that wasn't the case here. I guess it would have been more obvious had I read all of Developments.

I don't know what the heck I just read, but it was sweet, in a weird way. I'm very curious as to how you arrived at this idea.

Well, I'd classify Techi Muyo as "harem". It's not LGBTQ (no idea what IA stands for) but it's not the "standard" one man, one woman romance that is the most prevalent in our society.

That story led to some interesting further reading :-)
No idea why that should be hard to talk about, though...

Well, I read that thing what you wrote - the last line made me crack up something fierce. Nice, sweet little story.

If a bit weird.

It was the same for me the first time I read through it. I did see some of the subtext, but I assumed that I was just reading too deep.
