So, I'm replaying Emi's route right now, and I noticed this exchange during "Lunch and Science":
Emi: "Thinking of joining, Hisao?"
Hisao: "What? Nah, I've already decided to join a club."
Emi: "Really? Which one?"
Hisao: "Well, it's not really much of a club to be honest..."
Emi: "Oh, you joined the tea club?"
I immediately recalled one of my scenes in "Testing the Waters":
Leaty wrote:“Uh-huh,” she says, still incredulous. “Well, whatever. We don’t have an ikebana club or a tea club here, so you’re out of luck, anyway. The closest thing to that is the photography club and they’re less a club than a collective of socially awkward nutbars that fight over one small darkroom.”
Arrrrrrgh. Image

Welp, time to fix that shit.

Wasn't she teasing him about hanging out with Lilly? In the tea room? With tea?!

What? What are you talking about? I thought Lilly had tea in an empty classroom, not a tea room.

Even so, I'm not seeing any evidence that "Tea Club" was a rib on Lilly and Hanako. Seems more than a little random.

Could be just a nod from the devs. You should ask them about it

I just did. I gave up my multi-year streak of not posting outside the Fan Fiction section for it. :(

I always took that to mean that Emi was trying to come up with the most ridiculous idea possible in response to Hisao's "not much of a club".
It could also be a jab at Lilly, but I never thought there might actually be a tea club - or Lilly would be a member :-)
Let's wait to see what Hivemind has to say on the matter...

If nothing else, there was a (defunct) tea club in YuruYuri, so it's not completely out of the realm of possibility for one to exist.

It's not spoiling anything for me to mention that the tea club Iwanako belonged to at her old school was a "traditional" tea club; lots of Japanese tea ceremony on tatami mats and stuff. It wasn't just a bunch of girls in kimonos sampling teas.

Anyway, SC said that there is indeed a tea club, so yeah you should change that line :/

Fixed. Here is the corrected excerpt, to save people from going back and looking for it:
“Uh-huh,” she says, still incredulous. “Well, whatever. We don’t have an ikebana club here, and there's only two girls in the tea club—of whom both are complete mouth-breathers, so you'll probably want to steer clear. The next closest thing is the photography club, and they’re really less a club than a collective of social rejects perpetually fighting over a closet-sized darkroom.”
Let no one say that Leaty doesn't kneel to canon.

Who are the two members if the tea club? Are they supposed to be hanako and Lilly?

If I remember correctly, Lilly and Hanako aren't in any clubs. I think it was in Hanako's route? The part where Miki mentions that it's not really a big deal as long as you have people to hang out with.
