Sorry for the necro-bump, but wow. I just had to say that I loved this story, and I know that whatever you have planned next won't disapoint. Keep up the amazing work!

Just wanted to say, WOW, my lurking definitely paid off; definitely one of the best pieces on this forum.

Hope you'll finish the next segment soon... or in due time, anyways...

Excellent job. You've got me hooked, so I'll wait (mostly) patiently for the next part.

It's been over two years. I wouldn't expect part two any time soon, or at all for that matter.

so far all the fanfics I read featuring Hanako's all great. This is no exception. This stuff's just amazing! But

We don't know what happened to vermithrx's life but it seems like priorities were totally shifted. It's been real long but I'm still hoping for a part 2. :(

It happens to all of us, man. It doesn't take much IRL interference to totally derail a steady writefaggotry flow. I'm still trying to catch up with my reading here!

Sorry to leave everyone hanging for over a decade. Life's been hard and I've long since lost the ability to finish this story, let alone the will. Last time I did any work on it was back in 2012. I'm posting these mostly for my own closure, but also in the hope someone may get some enjoyment from them.

Here's the most complete draft as written:

Here's the larger outline I'd been working on:

Thanks for posting what you had, I hope it gave you the closure you were looking for. I just read it for the first time, I enjoyed it. It's interesting how you hit such similar beats to the "Hisao showing his scar to Hanako" scene that ended up being in the final release.

I gotta say though, those notes are a rollercoaster and a half. Love triangle featuring lesbians? Suicide?? Rin/Kenji??????? That was one hell of a story you had planned back in the day.

Whatever your next plans are out there in the world, I wish you the best of luck!

There were certainly some wild ideas there.

It's a shame we'll never get to see them written out, but I can understand how a project can grow beyond your ability to do it justice. That's without even getting into how time can change your views on things.

Hmm, guess I never commented on this one back in the day...
Part 1 is not bad at all, and rather than being a cliffhanger, I think it can stand quite well on its own.

In fact going by the outline I'm almost glad it ended where it did, because too many love triangles AND a death by suicide would almost certainly have ruined it.
The reason I stopped writing Tripping back in the day was because at some point I looked at my original story outline, and all I could do was cringe...
