I like Hanako, and double like lewd Hanako. And triple like yuri Hanako >.>
Speaking of yuri Hanako, that last one was actually partly inspired by your unexpectedly sweet Hanako x Misha fix.

One comment I have is that I think some of your sentences tend to run on a bit. But I think your writing is good overall!
Hmm, yeah I see what you mean. It's something I've struggled with, striking a balance between run ons and short choppy phrases. Thanks for the feedback, I'll definitely take it on board.

Funny thing we were just discussing one of Kosher's stories in the book club.
Your writing reminds me of his.
I will absolutely take that as a compliment! I'll pop in and have a look at which one is in the book club.

And now for something completely different! I wrote this whilst I was struggling to sleep the other night. Poetry isn't something I've really done too much of before but thought I'd try my hand at it. I'm not going to offend the purists by trying to claim this is a haiku, but it's certainly haiku inspired. Hopefully it makes enough sense without explaining too much about it but I'd appreciate any feedback.

Worry Tree

I have a secret
A place I can sit alone
And there I worry

The old worry tree
My secret spot no longer
I don't mind so much

He joins me there now
Not always, only sometimes
I guess it's quite nice

My words come out wrong
It's easier when painting
To say how I feel

Sometimes I worry
That no-one understands me
Still, one day, He might

Very good! In my opinion at least. I am crap at poetry so it's cool to see people make good ones.

Sweet. The epigrammatic nature of haikus seems particularly well suited to Rin's thought processes.

Glad you guys liked the poetry, here's some more smut. Apologies for any weird formatting, just moved house so posting from mobile.

Ecouteurism (NSFW)

"I think I'm going to have to call it a night. " Hanako's cup clinks lightly against the saucer as she pushes it away from her.

"Yeah, same here" Hisao agrees, getting to his feet, "Thanks as always for the tea Lilly!"

I incline my head in a slight bow and a smile flickers at the edges of my mouth. Even now, my heart flutters a little when he says my name. "You are quite welcome Hisao, you know I always enjoy the time I spend with you and Hanako."

The two of them make quite the cute couple I have to admit. Even though they have been dating for a little while now, they still make time to spend with me.

"Shall I escort you to your door my lady?" Hisao affects a chivalrous tone and Hanako giggles.

"Why thank you kind sir."

All three of us are fully aware he has no intention of just leaving after walking her to the door. Whether the other two realise I know that though, I am not sure. I feel Hanako might be a little less blatant about it if she was, but she may just be too besotted to think about it.

I close and lock the door as they amble down the hall and quickly clear the tea set away. I resolve to wash them up in the morning as I have more pressing concerns right now.

I push the cushion I have been sitting on up against the wall and drag the other two cushions over near it. Sitting down carefully, I am mindful not to bump into the wall too hard. Whilst the dorm walls may not be traditional paper walls, the cheap plasterboard may as well be paper for all the noise proofing it provides.

Starting with Hisao's cushion I lift each of them to my face in turn. There's not much of a scent from Hisao's as he tends to wear his school uniform so his legs are covered. I still try it every time he leaves regardless. Hanako's tends to have more of a scent to it, partly due to the thin material of her nightgown and partly due to her having come to tea with me for that much longer. Some low giggling through the wall tells me they will be getting started shortly.

I put the cushions down and remove my bra from under my pyjama top. I have considered not wearing one when they come round but decided to err on the side of caution. Keeping it on helps to hide my arousal, as given how hard my nipples are when I lightly brush past them, they would be quite visible through the thin material of my top. Hanako might also get a bit upset with me being in such a state of undress around her boyfriend. I get the feeling even the amount of leg I have on show is a bit much for her. Thankfully she is too polite to say anything and quite frankly, the strangled sound Hisao made as he walked in earlier was well worth it.

The giggling has decreased in frequency and is now interspersed with long periods of silence where I strain to make out any sounds through the wall. My efforts are soon rewarded as my sensitive hearing picks up a light gasp and I smile to myself. One hand has been stretched across my body, absently toying with my nipple as I listen. I slip the other down past my waistband into my already damp panties, lightly toying with my slit.

I can hear heavy breathing from both of them now and the gasps are getting more frequent as the two lovers find their rhythm. I find my own around the same time, drawing small circles around my clit before plunging my long slender fingers deep inside. My imagination conjures up a myriad of scenarios where I could be in the other room with them, with Hisao driving deep inside me as I bury my own face between Hanako's legs. My tongue flicks out, dancing across my lips before I pull it back in and along the floor of my mouth. The soft slightly lumpy texture under my tongue helps with the immersion as I dream of tasting Hanako's most intimate place.

My fingers plunge in and out of me faster now and I find my panties getting in the way of my fantasies. The scent of my own arousal increases as I pull them free, driving me onto new heights. I feel a familiar warmth building inside me and increase my rhythm as my breathing becomes more ragged by the second. In the next room, I can hear moans and groans from both Hisao and Hanako as they lose themselves in each other and staying quiet becomes less of a priority for them.

The first wave of my orgasm crashes over me a little sooner than I was expecting and I bite my lip trying to stifle an involuntary moan. The adorable little yelps and squeals Hanako is making along with Hisao's low grunts lets me know I have avoided detection. Its not high on my list of priorities right now even if I had been detected as I focus on riding the next wave of ecstasy.

Eventually I can't take any more and my arms drop to my sides, spent. At some point I must have slid down the wall as I'm now lying flat on the floor panting gently. I wipe the light sheen of perspiration from my forehead and feel around to retrieve my underwear so I can put everything back in it's proper place. I just about manage this while staying horizontal and opt to put off dragging myself upright for a little longer as I bask in the afterglow. I really hope I didn't give myself away with that groan earlier, that would be very embarrassing. At the same time, part of me entertains the idea of them hearing and inviting me to join next time. Not really something I think Hanako would go for sadly, but still, a girl can dream.

Not really written much this year so far, but in honour of Rabbie Burns day (yeah I know I'm a day late, shush) here's a poem with a little Scottish flavour.

Dearest Hisao

Dearest Hisao my bonnie boy
How I yearn for your embrace
But now we're both so far apart
Kept separate by time and space
How I wish the hands that write these words
Could instead caress your handsome face

These highland streams, the fields and glens
This country wild and free
I'm told tis all quite beautiful
But alas I cannot see
Though if I could I'd give it all
For just an hour with thee

I hope that you and Hanako both
Can forgive me now I'm gone
For leaving though you're dear to me
And I'm trying so hard to move on
Yet time may pass but still I'll say
I'm yours, my heart you've won

Tell sweet Hanako she's precious to me
More like a sister than friend
The times we shared I'll always treasure
I'm sorry that they had to end
But when you chose her I had to leave
For I could no longer pretend.

Dearest Hisao my bonnie boy
How I long for your embrace
The hands that write these words
Yearn to hold and see your face
Yet this letter will never reach you dear
To send it is not my place

The following post was written in response to Stiles Long's writing contest. Each participant was given a list of KS character pairings and a list of locations. One of each was chosen for this fic.

There were a limited set of options available to participants in the contest and it may be that this fic resembles others. Any such resemblance is coincidental.

It was nearly the end of year festival and as part of her student council work, Misha was touring the attractions each class had set up to make sure they were on target to be completed in time for the following day's festivities. Normally Shizune would join her in this but today she and Hisao were working on some other last minute preparations for the festival.

Flouncing down the third year corridor she spotted Hanako sitting opposite their homeroom door. "Hey Hacchan!~ Is everything ready in our class now?"

Her voice boomed down the hall and it was doubtful anyone in the rest of the building hadn't heard her but there was no response from her purple haired classmate.

It was nothing new for her to avoid social interaction, particularly with members of the student council so Misha didn't take it to heart and just carried on up to the door.

As she got there however, Hanako finally seemed to see her and raised her hand futilely towards the advancing girl as if to ward her away, "N-no, p-please don't…" she began but Misha waved her off cheerfully.

"Don't worry, it's my homeroom too!~ Even if it's not finished, I still need to check how far along we are!" she chirped, ignoring the other girl's protests.

Misha opened the door to find the familiar classroom replaced with a raging inferno. Flames licked around what was left of a double bed whilst on the floor was- her mind dragged itself away from thinking about what it was she was seeing even as the smell of scorched flesh filled her nostrils.

Slamming the door shut she retched against the cool hallway floor, eyes still stinging with smoke and tears. After a few moments she noticed the door she was leaning on wasn't even warm and no smoke was coming around the edges like you'd expect from a fire of that size. Come to think of it, the handle had been pleasantly cool throughout.

Yet her skin still prickled from the intense heat and a quick look at the girl behind her was enough to confirm she had seen it too.

"I'm so sorry Hanako, I shouldn't have ignored you." She began, not a trace of her former jovial self left.

The other girl didn't respond, just sitting there, arms wrapped tightly round her knees, looking like she was trying to curl herself up into the smallest possible ball.

"Was that…" Misha trailed off lamely.

Almost imperceptibly her classmate nodded once in response.

"Wow. I don't really know what to say."

Hanako just shook her head at this, face still tucked into her knees.

Dropping to her knees beside the traumatised girl, Misha gingerly wrapped her arms around Hanako. Initially stiffening in response, after a minute Hanako slowly relaxed a little and leaned into the hug as silent sobs cascaded through her body.

As they sat there, Misha's mind raced. What was going on? How was this possible? As she racked her brains, a sudden memory came to her. She'd already checked their class. Then she'd gone to class 3-2 and Kenji had invited her to test his haunted house. Next thing she was here. She needed to find her way out and then Kenji would face some serious questions about the appropriateness of his festival attraction.

Suddenly she smiled to herself despite the situation. That had been a distinctly Shizune thought.

Shaking her head as if to clear the unbidden thought, she slowly stood up and extended her hand to Hanako who by now had calmed a little. "Come on, let's find our way out of here."

Hanako climbed to her feet beside her and Misha led the way back down the hallway the way they'd come in.

Turning the corner to the stairs the girls found themselves back in the same hall they had just come from however, even down to the small puddle of stomach acid by the door where Misha had left it.

In a slight panic they sped up and once again turned the corner just to find the same hallway. Misha could feel the hysteria rising up inside her and knew Hanako was likely to be in worse shape still. She stopped, closed her eyes and forced herself to take a few deep breaths, forcing the feelings down.

Slowly, she opened them once more and nodded emphatically as if to reassure herself. Forcing her usual chirpy self back into her voice she turned back to look at Hanako, “Well~! If the hallway won’t let us out we’ll just have to try one of the other doors!”

The other girl didn’t look too reassured by this but Misha had been covering her bad feelings with cheerful confidence for years and wasn’t about to stop now. She stepped up to a door on the opposite side of the hall from the burning room and with a hearty “Tada!” flung it open.

Misha found herself in one of the upstairs hallways in Shizune’s house, right near the guest rooms that she and Hisao had stayed in when they all went to visit. Her stomach sank as she recognised it and realised where they were. Heedless, her feet kept stepping forward, taking her ever closer to the door of her room, and beyond it the one Hisao had stayed.

As she approached the first door, she could already hear the soft noises that had caused her such torment that day. Sure enough as she turned into the room she had stayed in, she could see herself lying on the bed. Her face was buried in pillows and another had been pulled over her head to try and muffle the sounds but the body and clothes were certainly hers and there was no mistaking the long pink drills that peeked out even dishevelled from being crushed under pillows.

As she stood in the doorway listening once more to the love of her life losing her virginity in the next room, she felt a soft hand on her back. In a daze, Misha turned to find Hanako looking at her with compassion in her deep purple eyes. Surprised that her normally flighty classmate had actively approached her, Misha tried to force a smile, but felt a single, traitorous tear roll down her cheek.

Hanako reached up gently with her good hand and wiped the tear away with a gentle brush of her sweater. “D-did you l-love him?” she asked softly.

Misha shook her head slowly, feeling the absence of her drills more keenly than ever now she was reminded of the reason she had cut them in the first place. “It was her. It was always her.”

If Hanako was surprised she didn’t show it, smiling shyly down at the shorter girl. “Thank you for before,” she said, one arm gesturing vaguely back up the hallway they’d come from, “The- the hug really helped. W-would one h-help you now?”

Slightly taken aback by her forwardness Misha just nodded dumbly and found herself enveloped in a pair of skinny but surprisingly strong arms. This sudden act of unexpected kindness finally broke past the last of her normally strong defences and she sobbed into the other girl’s shoulder.

What felt like an eternity later, her sobs finally subsided and she pulled away from the embrace gently.

“F-feel a little b-better now?”

Misha still didn’t trust her voice but nodded anyway, wiping the tears from cheeks puffy from crying. “I’m sorry,” she began but Hanako waved the apology aside.

“I’m j-just glad I could r-return the favour,” she smiled, “M-maybe one of the other doors will be b-better.”

Hope you enjoyed that - my prompts for this were "Misha and Hanako" and "Helping Each Other Out"

Very nice story!
I'm beginning to notice some commonality between this batch of contest stories: So far they all seem to be about dreams or dream-like situations of some kind. First Suzu's dream diary, then Mutou's chess game and now this.
Was that some kind of meta-prompt for the contest or is it just coincidence?

Just coincidence believe it or not. Must have been that sort of mood floating around.
