A friend (kirbykid1) asked me on IRC to draw Hanako a couple of days ago, so tonight when I got a new battery for my tablet pen (non-wacom, boooooo,) I decided that I was going to draw and color her.

Fully showing Hanako's smile at that resolution would create so much moe the universe will implode, like a perfectly executed pair of zettais. Just look at the end of Rebuild of Eva 1. When Rei smiled at the end, millions of otaku cried out and HNNNNGGGG'd.

That's one of the mistakes that I tend to make when drawing mouths. They are either too big or too small.

Hell I see it in anime sometimes. The artists won't draw a perfect line for mouths sometimes. Increases the cute I suppose.

its actually a style of drawing a mouth
where they assume the light source
is from in front of character
so the mouth is hardly seen

i myself draw that way
coz its hard to draw beautiful mouth
for the ladies

I attempted to fix up her mouth some, and added a little bit of blush.

/me also needs to work on eye sizes too.
