Katawa Shoujo on Google Chromebook OS

Will this ever be a thing? Is there already a way to install it on a chromebook? My friend is very eager to play this game after I described it to her, and she only has access to a chromebook. So if someone could answer this for me that would be great.

I don't know how many of these are viable options for your friend, but there are ways to run Windows software on ChromeOS.

But even better: ChromeOS is based on Linux, and there is a Linux x86 version of Katawa Shoujo. I'm no Linux expert, but it seems to me like if she follows this tutorial she might be able to run that version of the game within the Linux environment.
