Hey there, I recently started playing Katawa Shoujo and got hooked onto it. I think I finished Emi's act, but with a bad ending apparently. I don't know what to do further, history after "Instant Replay" seems to be missing too, are good endings compulsory to proceed further in the game?

Use the skip function until you reach "Instant Replay". That's the only way.

Well, if you don't have a pre-Emi save in your game, start again, press tab, and select corresponding selection items.

Okay, I restarted the game and finished Emi act fully with a good ending, I assume next up is Hanako. I have no clue how to proceed further.

There isn't really a ''correct'' way to choose how to proceed in the game.

Just mix up some choices and see where it leads you. You could also aim for a girl by answering the questions in favor of the girl, which most of the time isn't particularly difficult.
