Sometimes, after playing a while, the CTRL and Space Bar lose their functions, so I can not skip text or progress through. It is suspected that maybe Alt-Tabbing may be the problem but sometimes, I am able to do a bunch of things to make it work again, random Alt-tabbings, repeated tappings of CTRL and Space Bar.
Yeah I had this happen to me too, what you do is instead of alt tabbing you just hit F instead, it takes exactly as much time because its doing literally the same thing but it fixed it for me. I think it was a losing focus issue.
Yeah, I think it's just a matter of Alt-tabbing back into the KS windows doesn't focus all the way back into the menu. I found that if I wanted to use the functions again, the best way to go about this is to manually select KS in the taskbar back into focus which worked. But your method seems to be fine too.
I should note that it's definitely not just Ctrl and the Space Bar when this happens after Alt-Tabbing. NONE of the keyboard shortcuts work at all, including Auto Mode for example. I think I can confirm that using 'F' to switch instead of Alt-Tabbing is a workaround, but it sucks that you have to switch it to windowed mode to keep those handy-dandy shortcuts working. Oh well.
I thought that too, and I did notice it worked a couple times before, but I seem to recall it didn't work for me one time no matter what I did until I restarted it. To be fair, maybe it just slipped my mind that time, I'm kind of forgetful really.Alt-Tabber wrote:I was having trouble with alt-tabbing too, and managed to correct it every time by tapping the alt key again next time I'd focused the window. Try giving that a shot.
From what I can tell, when hitting Alt+Tab, the ALT sticks as if you pressed ALT in another windows application and caused the selection of the keyboard to jump to a menu. I'm assuming this is because full screen isn't a "true" full screen and a no-option menu is being selected.
