Post by tehsystem » Fri Jul 02, 2010 9:26 pm

I did this cosplay like half an year ago, but just today I joined the forum. Technically its a fanwork so here it is:
http://images.cosplay.com/photos/22/2285098.jpg
http://images.cosplay.com/photos/22/2285100.jpg
Also my profile at cosplay.com for more photos.

hope you like it 'cause I love Rin so much <3
(and yes, I didn't use my arms the WHOLE day, exhausting, but I got in character).

<Insert your weird nerd stalker-like compliment>

Hmmm. Actually, no. But your cosplay is really good, to be honest. And your others cosplay are cool too.

Too bad you like Fairy Tail.

Cool, I think is probably the most challenging to cosplay due to her lack of arms.

2xGPU clients (GTX 465/GTS 250); 2xCPU clients

<Aura> Our army of teenage girl artists couldn't draw penises without fits of giggling. Does that count?

Sexy, but (no offense of course, you did an awesome job) I think there is still a need to work on the expression. The expression is important, I believe.
Also, I am intrigued as to how you manage to do the arm thing.

Yes I agree. Perhaps an unfocused gaze?

Most cosplay makes me hate the world. This is an exception.
"I don't care," said Pierre, "I'm from France."

Now in handy DeviantArt form.

thank you <3
I will work more on my expressions then XD
Oh, since the shirt was for men, it was bigger than usual so I just put my hands behind my back and used "fake" arms for the ones that Rin doesn't have. I actually footshaked(?) a lot of people.

Really? I thought the expression was the best part by far, especially the second image. Not that we can really see much; Rin's facial expression is constant, so a video of you keeping up the "apathetically interested" appearance for a greater length of time would be necessary, but what I can seems perfect.

You may be right, I didn't think about it. Perhaps it looked better "live". Still, those specific pictures... Somehow the expressions don't seem exactly right for me. It could be my problem, anyway.

Wow, that looks really good! I don't suppose there's any full-body shots of it lying around, though?

Well, a real face obviously can't capture the expressionlessness present in an anime face, so yes it's rather difficult to match Rin's perfectly, but that's how I'd picture a real-life version.

Eyes = contacts?

Also Rin isn't the type to wear eyeliner.

Otherwise it's pretty good cosplay.
