Hey everyone, if you've been following the other thread, you should know things have started moving on this project. If not, well, now you know. Here's a little info about the game.

Little bit of info
Currently, we are working on the 5 main girls, list below (In no particular order)
1. Lilly
2. Emi
3. Rin
4. Hanako
5. Shizune

Update
We will be using Java, in particular, Slick.

The Team (Note that these are all taken from who I've seen post recently, around the time I joined onwards)

Project Leader: Undecided (That is not their username, it's just as said, it's undecided at this time)

Coders:
  • Me (DannyL7773)
    Snicket
    whiteflags
    obliviousknowledge
Spriters:
  • Halkure
    inCeri
    Sajomir
    NightlyShore
Base Sprite Cleaners:
GermanZombie
Musicians:
Nicol Armafi
Beta Testers(None needed at the moment):

Researchers:
  • Ricardo Nation
Team Sign Up Fancy joining the team? Fill this in the post your application <3
Name (Username, or what you want us to call you):
Position (Spriter (Characters, Stages, Screenpack, Intros/Endings (If we have them), Sprite Cleaners), Coder (Character, Screenpack, Stages), Beta Testers (None needed at the moment), Musician, Researcher):
Example of work (If possible to show):

Art Requirements
-Must be able to work by drawing or pixel art. We are NOT modifying sprites here or ripping off work.
(we do, however, have resources, some original generic animations, and checklists for your use)
-Must have a strong concept of anatomy.
-If working on the sprites, must be able to work at high resolutions. Each girl is roughly 300 pixels high.
-Must have samples available somewhere. Doesn't matter where they are posted.
-Be able to follow direction. We have a visual style in mind and we know the characters.
-Be willing to stick with the project. I don't mean you have to sign a contract for years from your life, but be serious, and do what you say you'll do.

Note to mods
I already checked with Suriko if it was alright to make a second thread. We got confirmation that it was alright. The PM's exchanged are below.

DannyL7773 wrote:Hey. Was just wondering, a topic exists already, recently it's been picking up a bit of activity and people have expressed an interest in joining in the project. (A fighting game based on Katawa Shoujo, to be made in the MUGEN fighting game engine). The problem being is, the thread's creator has long gone inactive. He/she is not able to update the first post. The thread in question is
http://ks.renai.us/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1949

Reason I'm PMing is because you've stated in the rules you want related topics to stay in a single thread, however, without the original poster, there is no way we can update the first post of the thread with new information, well, we could always PM a mod or admin each time we wanted it updating but I believe that would be inconvenient for both sides. Also, I used PM because the support forums say it's for questions and answer about releases of the game, there wasn't any other appropriate section to place this as a topic.

What I'm looking for is a "go ahead" to make a second thread, to keep things updated in the first post, if that's alright by you and the other admins/mods? I'd rather ask you instead of making the topic and having it merged/locked or deleted because there's already an existing thread.

Thanks for taking the time to review this question.
Hey,

I've got no issue with it at all. Thanks for checking before going ahead; it's appreciated.

Probably an idea to quote this PM in the OP just in case somebody gets overzealous. :)

If you need another tester, or a writer, I can help you out. PM me if you need a writing sample.

In any case, very much looking forward to this.

I chuckled at that despite its complete lack of validity. Bravo!

Instead of producing scripts, animation budgets, schedules and plot devices, they karate-chop a mural ballad into the walls! About writing! And you play it!

Somehow.

Karate-kick in one case :P

Anyway, interesting project, makes me wish I had skills at... well... any of those -_-" I might apply for beta-testing, but you probably don't want too many of those, either ">_>

Sounds cool; I don't know that I could stomache making a full soundtrack, but I think it'd be fun to contribute three or four individual tracks :)

One can't help but wonder what a serious fightan cripple track would sound like.
