Henchman: Kagami

Well, I saw this around /a/ a few months back, and I've been meaning to come around here and offer what little talent I have, and so tonight, I finally did.

...Except that I see you've decided to make this all tricky and hard for me by actually being organized. I was expecting more of a "We need people who can do X" kind of request list, but I see I have to actually present myself.

That kind of sucks, because I have no specific idea how I can be of help. I can write, sort of code, can draw a tiny bit, but not overly skillfully. I can't play an instrument more complicated than a kazoo to save my life.
Of those all, I'm most confident in my writing/editing skills (I take it as a point of pride that I was correcting my teacher's spelling in 2nd grade.).

I'm not sure what you folks really need, though, but I hope I can help in some way, even if it's mindless, hateful repetitive work. The whole concept of this game is nicely strange and unusual, and I love things like that.

If there's anything you need doing, please let me know (or tell me where I should have looked first before asking that.)!

The lack of "we need people" -list is because we are not looking for anything specific right now.

Despite that, offers of help are always much appreciated. Off the top of my head I can think of at least two possible openings. One is a play tester, but that is a tough job that comes with very few perks. In a week or two, we are actually going to need those, though. The other is a "ghost writer", but that was an idea thrown in the air by crud just the other day so we haven't actually discussed if we want one.

aura is right, we're not actively recuriting anyone at this second, however I did consider the idea of a ghost/inbetween writer last night.

Basically, it would be someone responsible for taking the editor's comments on a broad (ie, inter-scene) level, and applying them.
You'd be fixing flow problems as well as making sure that there was some degree of continuity to the game.

Of course, as a new comer, this would essentially mean absorbing the entire 200,000 words in a short period of time, then applying changes under the directions of a the editing team.

It's not an easy job, nor a galmourous one, however it's one that is becoming apparent that we need. Currently Aura is doing the hard slog and filling a lot of what I've described above, however a dedicated person would relieve him and allow him to get back to the similarly ardous task of writing Rin.

If this sounds like something that would interest you, please contact Aura and myself via PM so that we can actually get an idea of what this position would entail.
The same thign goes for any other writers/editors that may want to help out.
