Rin uses sleeves to drive off flies, much like horses use their tails.
Kenji really likes the song "It's Raining Men." His English isn't very good, and no-one's told him what the lyrics mean.
Yuuko's a casual Doctor Who fan. Her favorite companion is Jamie McCrimmon.
Yuuko > Akira > Miki > Meiko > Sae.

Who doesn't love that song though? He's also waaaay too into the Zatoichi The Blind Swordsman films to the point of imitating the character (minus the charm and fun) and annoying everybody.

Somehow, "The Legally-Blind Swordsman" just doesn't have the same ring to it...

Jigoro's codename for his blind niece is 'Swordsman'. After all 'Satou-ichi' is a perfectly good Japanese pun. Meanwhile, Lilly's cane is a lot heavier and more lethal than people think it is—quite apart from what the game shows us, it's actually a swordstick with a lightweight titanium alloy fencing foil in it. That's why she gets angry when Kenji trips her up—she is afraid he's accidentally triggered the release mechanism and exposed her secret. Kenji, on the other hand, already guesses this to be true: his response is, "Curses! Foiled again!"

Lilly's other skill, just like her hero's, is that she's a top-notch masseuse. Hisao is the innocent beneficiary of her very strong hands. :D
Post-Yamaku, what happens? After The Dream is a mosaic that follows everyone to the (sometimes) bitter end.
Main Index (Complete)Shizune/Lilly/Emi/Hanako/Rin/Misha + Miki + Natsume
Secondary Arcs: Rika/Mutou/AkiraHideaki | Others (WIP): Straw—A Dream of SuzuSakura—The Kenji Saga.

Miki may hate math, but she enjoys history, although she tends to over romanticize it and often accepts movie treatments as accurate. She also has a picture of a female samurai in her room (it's a copy of an old portrait.). She believes it's a descendant based on where the picture was made and a close physical similarity.

Jigoro will not sign the paperwork allowing Shizune to take drivers education in school. Despite this, Shizune has gotten a hold of several of the books and has memorized a good deal of the traffic rules. Still, in the very few cases she has had a chance to drive, she's actually really bad at it but doesn't realize this.

Rin is surprisingly good at math because “numbers aren't real things. They don't change or do anything different than what they're supposed to. You just have to remember what they do.”

Emi didn't join the track team for several months. She still hang out on the track a lot and ran, but she expected them to ask her.

Kenji doesn't actually enjoy the taste of whiskey. He actually prefers a nice fruit flavored wine. Preferably cherry. It's just that he thinks men are supposed to like whiskey.

Bols to you, Kenji! :)

Well, the cherry brandy is his favourite. So much so that he fell in love with the Singapore Sling.

He also likes pina coladas, but does not like getting caught in the rain. (Damn feminist weather control machines...)

And he has a dream of hanging out with his role model, Jigoro Hakamichi, somewhere on Oahu.

Shame on you.

Iwanako once came to Yamaku to surprise Hisao with an unannounced visit.
Then she saw something...Unfortunate...In the sports shed.

Kenji's own blindness is the result of a freak incident that occurred when he confessed to a girl and ended up transferred to Yamaku. This is why he is so intent on Hisao.

To which her immediate response was, "Iwanako home right now."
