There is going to be about an hour of planned downtime on Wednesday, July 9, 20134, starting at about 11 AM Eastern Daylight Time.
At that time, our server is going to be physically powered off and moved to a new datacenter. This will have a number of long-term benefits, such as improved connectivity and backup power. But at the same time, it means the forum will be unreachable during the move.
EDIT: I've obviously reached the age at which the years just kind of blend together.

Just last night the forum refused to load, and then the server the forums were running on told me it was a general error or some crap.

We're back up and running, in the new datacenter.
The problems with the forum loading were due to a RAID array check that was going on. That's finished, and I've configured things so future checks will steal less I/O from rest of the system.

Good to hear! I look forward to more reliable load times.
