Greentexting is a common form of storytelling on 4chan
Obviously this isn't 4chan, but #YOLO
This post is just full of nope for me
But Katawa Shoujo came from 4chan....

Oh god, greentexting on the Katawa Shoujo forums.
We've come full circle

Her favorite color is blue though.
Christ almighty, I have no idea what I was thinking. Its been ages since I done Emi's route and in my memory, the colour of her name in the dialogue box was green, where in actual fact, its light red. I think her eye colour and this flowchart is to blame

After 2 years of not reading any VN's I come across Narcissu
I get interested so I download a bunch of VN's (Narcissu, KS and Kagetsu tohya which I was supposed to have finished a while ago)
I start with KS
My first route was Rin's route (no walkthroughs or anything and I sort of wanted to go down her route first anyway)
Rin is now one of my favorite fictional and I love her dearly.
That whole sad speech about understanding really hit me hard. Very emotional moment.
Lovely good ending :)
I try the neutral ending
I cry and cry ;_; fuck that end was the saddest end in the entire VN. Made me feel so bad when I saw Rin collapse as well. That neutral ending was just way too sad.

I try the other routes
Emi is such an evil trap. Good end was a bit tearjerking though. Although I didn't actually cry that much.
Lilly is nice but a lot more boring than I expected. It was hard to feel much from the good end because it was so predictable.
I was never a big fan of Shizune from act 1 but I found her very interesting. I love Misha anyway and I want to see her more.
I stupidly get myself into the bad end (I never expected "that" to happen)
I fell like shit. Shit that bad end was screwed up and sad. I hate how everything fell apart and looking at such a lonely Shizune. I actually almost cried there.
Shizune's good end was very nice.
I end up liking Shizune quite a lot. Not nearly as much as Rin though. Once I understood Shizune it was hard to not like her. A pretty memorable character.

I finish Hanako's route (albeit reluctantly) and I am satisfied with the end of KS.
I love KS and I will always remember it. Especially for Rin and ,to a lesser degree, Shizune.
Thank you devs for making such a beautiful VN. I really appreciate it.

It was a bright day, and it was very dark but no so much.
Little comrade was sitting at his computer
(that was old, but COOL!) watching red army music videos wjen suddenly a video by "generic youtuber #5" about something i can't pronounce, but someone made a comment about it in his other video came up, so naturally i checked it out.

Two years later comrade sits at his computer (even older!) Late at night trying to sort out nonsensical entries to the library

Someone linked me Millbee's playthrough of KS
Started watching because why the hell not, I've got some time
Got to the end of his playthrough of Hanako's route, began re-evaluating my life decisions up to that point, and noticed that it was time to go to work
Went to work on zero sleep
Waited a couple days before continuing
Watched his playthrough of Shizune's route, meh, not anywhere near the impact of Hanako's
Found excellent fanfic via TVTropes, ended up here
IIRC, decided to just download it and play it for Emi's route
Played the rest of the routes, sleep schedule wrecked for weeks
Wrote shitty fanfic
Became a rabid shipper
Wrote slightly less shitty fanfic

And here I am.

I may be wrong, but I thought the thread-starter's point was to describe how KS suddenly sprang to mind later on, not about how we came to it in the first place… Ah well, fuck it.

>reading random threads on reddit
>keep seeing references to some game
>something something feels something something visual novel something something game of the year
>turns out it's the one-year anniversary of this game's release and it's got a fascinating backstory
>download it, try it out
>expecting loads of sex, because that's the kind of these I'd played to this point
>wasnotprepared.aspx
>finished whole thing in maybe a week
>started massive fanfic shortly thereafter, still flailing away at it today

Why is everybody trying to post like this is 4 chan?

If I wanted to put out with stupid 4 chan stuff, I'd go there.

I'd say we're not so much as trying, as succeeding :3

I just find the arrows a nice way to make a list. Dunno why they're emulating the greentext outright. Maybe they're just bad people.

Anywho:

>Played through a VN that, while heavy on the adult content, managed to entertain beyond that with its script.

>Years later, someone on Twitter mentions it. So, having it brought back to mind, I check again. Full game's out. History ensues.
