What if Iwanako transferred to Yamaku?

Post by ewx »

Title is fairly self explanatory.

This isn't a feeble attempt to get people to start writing "Iwanako goes to Yamaku" fanfics, just something to stimulate discussion into how her arrival would affect the main cast and Hisao.

How would the timing of her visit affect the effect she would have?
How would different characters feel towards her?
Would she fit in at a school for the disabled?
etc.

There's already an iwanako goes to Yamaku fanfic in progress, a very good one as well! You should check it out.

What is her disability? One does not simply transfer to a school for disabled people.

If I've found the right fanfic then it's not exactly what I'm trying to get at here.

If I'm right, that one involve her having arrhythmia.

Misha is at Yamaku despite having no disability, so I'm assuming other people can if they had a valid reason to transfer there.

It is never mentioned if misha have a disability or not, although I can't remember In what route it is but hisao does mention that everyone without mental disabilities can come to Yamaku.
If you want there is also an older fic that someone wrote about her visiting hisao in Yamaku. I can pm it to you because I doubt you could find it otherwise

if iwanako has arrythmia, its a bit strange. hisao never suffered any problems till his heart started beating fast because of iwanako wanting to be with him. he was nervous and his heart pounded too much. wouldnt iwanako have the same problem if she was nervous? unless she was calm as fuck when she asked him out.

it is believed that misha is possibly tone deaf. as mutou stated, she needs to lower her voice. and as hisao described, she enters rooms with the grace of a rhino.

That could mean a lot of things, and even if she was tone deaf, I doubt it would be considered a serious disability that would require going to a special school.

If I've learnt anything from reading most of the answered questions here, it's that if something isn't mentioned then it isn't of any story significance. If Misha had a disability then I'm sure that would likely come up in Shizune's storyline somewhere.

I'm not talking about her just visiting in lieu of sending a letter or her whole storyline swapping with Hisao.

More like:
If she transferred to the school during Hisao's storyline (whether it be Act 1 or any of the girls routes), how would the story and the lives of the characters change? Would any of the main girls try and befriend her? Would Hisao give her a second chance? How would Hisao react to her sudden presence in his life again?

(I'd still very much like you to PM that fic)

If Iwanako showed up, every other route would only have bad ends.

It's noted by Hisao in Lilly's arc that students without disabilities are also welcomed at Yamaku. The only exception are students with mental disabilities. For Misha's case, it has never been stated if she has a real disability but in Shizune's arc, she states she is attending Yamaku because she wants to be a sign language teacher and she has a discount on her tuition because of that.
