Play it on Steam.

First reaction:

'Dude, WTF are you playing?'

The rest, just tell them 'I'm not playing; I'm reading. It's a novel.' After that I just let the rest fall into place

Does Steam detect KS as a game if you add it as a non-steam app?

non-Steam app. It automatically adds that 'Shift+Tab'-thing you have for games so it works pretty well.

Ah, I had no idea Steam overlay would work on this. Do I have to run it fullscreen, I wonder? This is definitely a brilliant way to spread KS.

Given how KS is played in windowed mode I only added it to my Steam list to show people whenever I'm playing it
I can just alt+tab to see my friends list and whatnot.

I just told a friend of mine the reason im doing some exercise right now was coz of a game. He got curious and said "must be one hell of a game to make you do that."

He then tried it. I then said there's a little porn. He's now with Lilly's path.
I'll do my best to be my Emiest.

I haven't mentioned this game to anyone, cuz I don't really talk with anyone these days...
But if I wanted someone to play I would say something like:
"It's like super Mario Bros meets Street fighter, minus Bowser or Hadokens!"

Nah, seriously, the smart approach to this would be to just mention that a guy has a heart problem, almost dies, goes to a school for the disabled and things turn interesting from there.
It might also be wise not to mention the super secret chocolate scene.

I don't think there's any way to really say "there are sex scenes" without immediately conveying the opinion that they're going to be tacked-on and pornographic. Hell, even when they're in regular old movies they're still somewhat pornographic, rarely awkward, and rarely directly useful to the story. So there's a bias there.

I'd honestly just not mention the scenes at all, except in passing... and hell, women's romance novels go into much greater detail than what KS had.

Me:

Me:
"Who's sick-er now? Me for advertising, or you for buying my advertisement and playing it?"

he:

I don't.

I let them find out about it themselves.
And when they get to Emi's first scene, they steamed me like crazy screaming "WHAT THE HELL MAAAAAAN"

shit like that.

I had the lulz, so I don't care

Well, I accidentally introduce KS to my piano teacher like this (he's a writter, and a bro to me):

Me: Bro, I got this two pieces that I think you should listen, and perhaps I should play them on some recital, if there comes one
Teacher: *listen* They are not bad. Where they come from? *see the sheet* Who is "Katawa Shoujo"?
Me: Haha, no. The pieces are made by this guys over here *points to the names of NicolAmarfi and Blue123*. Katawa Shoujo is where they came from. It's a Visual Novel
Teacher: I think I heard of the Visual Novels before. How are they?
Me: *starts on an awful explanation of Visual Novels*. The plot of this VN is kinda different to anothers
Teacher: What does Katawa Shoujo means?
Me: Disability girls. I was going to that point. It's about a teen guy who has a heart attack and he's been diagnosed by Arrythmia. After that, he has to move to a new school that is mostly for disabled kids. After that, he has to make new friends and, if he play his cards well, he could have a relationship with one of the five girls he meets. The girls have their disabilities: one is a runner that doesn't have legs, another one is an artist that doesn't have arms, the class rep that's deaf, a blind girl and a shy girl who has a several scarring
Teacher: *kinda of an ouch expression*

I've introduced KS to several people from the internet by basically making jokes about it, mentioning feels and showing pics. People from the internet are way more open-minded though.
