One got sucked in and binged himself on it for a couple days, the other was super bored and put it down inside of two hours.

He complained that there was too much text on it. Yes, too much text. On a Visual Novel. I've since lost all faith in humanity, we're definitely doomed.

The best part about it? The guy actually likes reading books. It seems large amounts of text are only a problem when they're present in something he conceives as a video game.

Well, after I "introduced" (more so he already knew but I didn't know that he heard of the game) Katawa Shoujo, he was like "WTF? Isn't that one game where you seduce and sexually violate girls with disabilities? /V/ been talking about it all day, I might download it because they've say it's so good."

Knowing my friend (who's a bit jaded), he's either gonna trash the game and talk shit on it (which I don't care for), or wind up liking it.

I told another friend of mines about the game (who has CP and needs a walker to get around) about the game but I kinda screwed up by trying to troll him by saying "I didn't know the American Disabilities Associations where making their own video game!" I gave him a Youtube trailer for the game that had text that read"A game from members of the anonymous image board 4chan...blah blah blah". He was like "I stop reading after '4chan'". He believes this game was made by 4channers and he hates anything 4chan related. Also, he's stubborn so me trying to tell him it ain't from 4chan isn't gonna work.

That's pretty much what one of my friends did. He still tried it, but I think by then the game had an impossible task to win him over, he's very stubborn.

Have introduced 2 friends (online) to it and mentioned it in passing to a few friends when asked what I've been up to.

The friends online started playing but I have heard nothing since when talking, the ones IRL knew what I was talking about but had no interest in playing it because of the hentai element. My response to one of them was "you don't know what you're missing"

Problem is a lot of VN's have given games like this a bad name. Some being nothing more than sex romps with no story.
