Sencha and Tofu for everyone!
I made the 20 minutes and i don't even feel particularly fatigued. I even feel positive, like i achieved something. Guess this is the runner's high. (doesn't feel better than sex though, lol)
True. It's one of those preference things really. I prefer to avoid any artificial sweeteners so "Diet" and "Sugar free" is something I don't really drink.ivegottogodosomthing wrote:Juice is often just as bad as soda, since it has little nutritional value compared to whole fruit, and high sugar content. If you're really trying to lose weight, do your best to drink no calories. (In other words, stick to only water, tea, and coffee.) Diet soda and *sugar free* juice is something you should avoid too, since it can spike your blood sugar, and is filled with nasty, nasty, chemicals.
This, 100x this. Surprisingly (/sarcasm) people want the easy way, no exercise route.Thrasher Thetic wrote:...
None of that really matters though. If you want to get in shape and loose some weight, the only way to do it is to control what you eat and get involved in some kind of physical activity. We could debate about one kind of workout over another all day, ditto diet plans, but it all boils down to 'stop stuffing your face and get off your ass, tubby'. The best way to do THAT is to pick something you enjoy and can stick with.

Most diet plans, excepting those which cater to specific dietary needs (diabetes, crohn's, etc.), boil down to caloric intake. If you want to loose weight, you need to expend more calories than you consume, and that means controlling your portions more than anything. I still make/eat the same food I always have, but instead of 'I accidently the whole thing', I separate it into a couple or three tupperware containers and eat the leftovers for lunch the next day.
All right, here's my understanding of why sugar makes you fat. Keep in mind this is mostly derived from TV and some light reading, I am not an expert:Maakasu_Taihaku wrote:Ah i see, well i don't do the shopping but ur right i never realised that before how stores are set up till u mentioned that. I can cut back yea, how does pop affect the body anyways? why does it make u gain weight the way it does? the sugar?, but what about drinks any suggestions on that, in order to avoid pop i would need to replace one addiction with another. Arizona tea is good, but do they sell in packs.... hmmmmm.
That sounds awesome! Best of luck in your training! Also, PM sent earlier today.ook wrote:Today on my run I saw a sign for a 5k in my town at the end of April, which pretty conveniently coincides with the end of the running program, so I guess that's gonna be my goal.![]()
