A song that reminds me of Rin by one of my favorite artists, Graham Parker.
Rin is orthogonal to everything.
Stuff I've written: Developments, a continuation of Lilly's (bad? neutral?) ending - COMPLETE!

I actually agree with this one, a lot of the lyrics are reminiscent of Rin. Nice find!

When I 100%'d the game, I went through the gallery pictures one by one as a last farewell to the game while listening to Ewert & the Two Dragons' "The Rabbit", so the song has built up some association for me. Other than that? I guess the OST. :P

Wow, that's uncanny. Pretty lovely song on its own too.

For Rin,

Strawberry Fields Forever
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeZcI4u0ZQg

The lyrics just very much feel like her rambling way of speaking.

It's getting hard to be someone but it all works out
It doesn't matter much to me

Always, no sometimes, think it's me
But you know I know when it's a dream
I think I know I mean a "Yes" but it's all wrong
That is I think I disagree

Sunset from Devil Survivor for some reason I don't understand.

And also this particular 通常 -jingle- also from Devil Survivor.

I can't really tell why, the jingle reminds me of Generic Happy Music but Sunset... I'm not really sure.
Reading: Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami; Fractured - Karin Slaughter
Playing: Sniper Ghost Warrior 2; Far Cry 3; Dragon's Crown

Cat: "Where are you going?" Alice: "Which way should I go?"
Cat: "That depends on where you are going." Alice: "I don’t know."
Cat: "Then it doesn’t matter which way you go."

For Lilly -

Lips Like Sugar by Echo and the Bunnymen.

Just when you think she's yours
She's flown to other shores

For Rin -

On Melancholy Hill by Gorillaz. (The video especially has a "rinnish" vibe.) EDIT: (Also, a search of past posts seems to indicate that I wasn't the first to make this association... :) ).
I like all the girls in KS, but empathize with Hanako the most.

Bring me the Horizon's Sempiternal album.

Heard it yesterday and God... I was being constantly reminded.
Some track names: "Can you Feel my Heart" and "Hospital for Souls"

Yup.

If the game needed another introduction tune, Tears For Fears' "Memories Fade" could be worth considering: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtHjY3K5g1E
Without hope my body starts to fail
Memories fade but the scars still linger
Goodbye my friend
Will I ever love again
Memories fade but the scars still linger
I cannot grow
I cannot move
I cannot fell my age
The vice like grip of tension holds me fast
Engulfed by you
What can I do
When History's my cage
Look forward to a future in the past

Minor spoiler for the next chapter of Developments, perhaps, but this song (specifically this version by Lindsey Buckingham) has been going through my head for the past few days. I can see this being played over the end credits of any of the non-good endings, really, but especially Lilly's.
Rin is orthogonal to everything.

The main theme of Final Fantasy XIII reminds of KS. That song is feel-inducing for some reason and it's very piano heavy like KS music.

If we're going to talk video game soundtracks that remind us of KS, the Luma theme from Super Mario Galaxy has a bit of a KS vibe to it, or vice versa, rather. It most notably sounds similar to 'Aria De l'Etoile'. Both have kind of a sleepy time vibe to them, and both songs make my freakin' heart ache.

Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to go cry into my pillow now.

Hmm. I haven't play Super Mario Galaxy before. But something about this song is very KS reminiscent. In any case, I don't really know any other songs that remind me of KS. KS music is pretty special in it's own way. Nicol Armarfi has been gifted with the power to create beautiful pieces of work.
