Really. 99% of the time, I just mute the sound when I play VNs.

I'd take a break from reading KS by reading Unknown Armies. Things take a route for the strange when you start to wonder if Misha's channeling the Messenger (or maybe the Fool?), could that fire have set Hanako on the path of Epideromancy and next think you know you're too busy imagining crazy shit to actually feel anything for the story.

When I needed to do my duty, I decided not to abandon reading the VN and brought it with me into the washroom.

Trying not to not let my 8 year old little sister see me playing this while I was supervising her, failing, feigning ignorance, failing at that, and then showing her the the cinematics while thinking of a way to distract her. Good times.

I was watching Jeepers Creepers at some point while playing the game. It added it's own little bit of horror to the school...

Before I actually read the manual and learned that you can start the autoread-function with the A button, I always used the regular menu for that. That's somewhat annoying, because it takes at least one second. That's not much, but when you've turned it on and off several time, this little interruption starts to bug you.
At one point, I was thirsty and had to go to the kitchen. However, I was too lazy to turn autoread off, because I knew that I had to turn it on again which would be annoying. So I slowly walked backwards into the direction of the kitchen, my eyes still fixed on the computer screen in order to not miss anything. Then I was like "IVEGOTTOGODOSOMETHING!", ran into the kitchen, grabbed some water, ran back into my living room and jumped back into my seat.
Of course, I missed a few lines, so I had to turn autoread off and scroll back up anyway. I don't know why I even tried that, it was pretty obvious that I wouldn't be fast enough to not miss anything.

Playing the game while drunk on a combination of wine, beer, and whisky. Probably the next best thing after drunken posting - except that KS characters cannot lash out at you making a shame out of yourself.

And it's not really that weird, considering this is KS. In fact, this should be its slogan: Katawa Shoujo, the VN where H turns your semen into tears.

Ahahahaha! This indeed. I'd never played a VN before, and I loved this game so much. The sex scenes were mature and never felt like they were simply trying to indulge the fantasies of the viewer.

Tried playing the OST of Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai! Ero-VN while reading through the H-scenes in Lilly's route. Man, that felt awkward.

Note to self: Use game's native OST.
