Weird circumstances led me here. I made a video on YouTube about the Anime Communist Party and a commentator wanted to talk with me about communism and marxism. Why not? And since I draw anime our discussion arrived at Katawa Shoujo, fan fiction and this site here finally.

Got bored and googled Katawa Shoujo. Found this place.

Millbeeful's let's "play" (I guess is the correct word?), got bored waiting for thirty minutes of story every night and ended up downloading and finishing the game myself. Of course, once one has read Emi's path over fifteen times they realise they have an obsession, then I turned to the forums. Still obsessed, but at least it's focused on something now

I kept running into Katawa Shoujo references on reddit. Not being a prior VN or even an anime fan really, it took me awhile to break down and try it. Started KS on a long weekend and finished Shizune's route that night...tried to stay away and made it a whole 18 hours before I broke down and completed Emi, Lilly, and Hanako's routes in the span of 36 hours. A few weeks later I found these forums while looking for route info (for completion's sake), and found myself sticking around for the fanfics and feels.

I'm changing my story on how I got here. So, I woke up in this room with blank white walls...

I did Emi last, don't worry
I have read all the other paths about six times each though (exception of Shizune, it reminded me of life feels), just that Emi was my favourite. More Nurse = Happy Numb

Personally, I was in favor of more Kenji and Natsume. (The latter is ironic because I never did Lilly's route, so Hanako never joined newspaper club.) Still, Nurse was one of my favorite characters in KS. I just wish he'd gotten as much spotlight as Mutou did -- hence, Mutou appreciation thread from so many months ago.

I found KS by coming across a parody picture on the internet.

More in favor of barely-relevant background character than an actual character...Geez, way to be a dick to Nurse.

Out of curiosity, what was the parody?

By "parody" she means rule34. So probably something involving Kenji, Hisao, and Nomiya.

Mine's a bit of a strange story. I remember during summer vacation while in college (way back in 2007), I stumbled on the idea after someone mentioned it on a forum offhand, one which I've long since forgotten. Found the idea to be really interesting, and a couple years later I downloaded Act 1, playing through it and really hoping it would one day be completed.

Graduated college, did my thing post-college, then in late 2011 I suddenly re-remembered it again, and wondered what had happened to it. Just my luck, I rediscovered it about two weeks before it was slated to be released, so despite almost completely forgetting about it over a four year period I managed to be right on time to download it on day one.
