English Translated Visual Novel Top 10 List:
1) Clannad
2) Narcissu
3) Cartagra
4) Tsukihime
5) Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!!
6) Kara no Shoujo
7) Yume Miru Kusuri
8) Deus Machina Demonbane
9) Symphonic Rain
10) Ever 17

Special Mention:
1) Kira Kira
2) Muv Luv Alternative
3) Fate/stay night
4) Sengoku Rance
5) Big Bang Age

Here are some other good VNs that are not in my list, but someone else's. I do not necessarily agree that they are good (In fact there are some that I STRONGLY disagree against, but), but they are rated among Fakku members as one of their Top 10 English VNs.

stuff
Good List although some of the Fakku suggestions are just plain weird, (Shira Oka? Flower Shop? Heart de Roomate?)

Anyways, my personal favorites (disregarding KS) are Muv Luv Alternative, Ever17, Fate Stay Night, G-Senjou no Maou, and especially Sengoku Rance.

I haven't been reading much recently (The last one I read was Dengeki Stryker which I loved), but I have been playing Rance Quest Magnum with an interface patch. It's fun. I plan to focus on studying Japanese, so I don't plan on reading much until Rance VI is finished.

I personally like Little Busters more then Clannad but that's my opinion. Narcissu is definitely good except the only playable version on Windows 7 is from the 2nd Side of it.

Either way, I'm currently waiting for the Angel Beats VN, wanna find out if Jun Maeda would kill them a second time after they are reincarnated at the end of the series.

Little Busters Anime is coming out in October which is great news.http://litbus-anime.com/

Not so sure whether it's going to be good news. It's not KyoAni like the previous Key anime, but JC Staff, and their work isn't very well received usually.
And I'm not so sure whether I like the new character designs either, but that is just personal opinion.

Ew, some of those character designs are REALLY questionable. Im skeptical as of right now. Doubt it'll be as good as the VN of course.

I haven't gotten too far into the VN, but I feel okay with the new character designs.

Also definitely need to skim through this thread since I'm new here, been looking for some good ones.

Fate/Stay Night's on my recommended list now, if you can handle 50+ hours.

Starting up Little Busters soon. It is a VN about a loli baseball team, right?

That's the first half. But go for it. It's a really good VN. Make sure you don't try to find out too much before playing, though, cause you shouldn't be spoiled for the main event.

All I've spoiled so far is the title and it was a necessary spoiler to locate the game. :3

Ah, that's good. Be warned, though. The individual routes of the girls might be a little lackluster. But the main highlight, Refrain, unlocks once you finish them all.

My only big problem with the character designs besides the odd looking eyes is that Masato is tooooo thin. I mean muscle sensation.

Side note: No anime studios imo can ever adapt this VN 100% perfectly because of some plot reasons that I would not mention. Also, give them a chance because its an entirely new staff from JC Staff that has never done any anime with it. With Key working behind the scenes, it should at least be decent enough of an adaptation.

If anything think about it this way, having a decent adaptation or bad one is better than having none. If it is bad, it would be remade because of the level of quality Key usually enforces. In other words look at Kanon 2002 and 2006.

My opinions of the routes
Mio-Hit or miss depending
Haruka-The best but many people will disagree with me
Kud-Key Magic
Komari-Pretty Good
Kurugaya-Absolute WTF
Rin1/2/Refrain-The main point of it

No...No, this is wrong. No adaptation is far better than a shitty one. Case in point, Titanic's various cartoon adaptations.

I Finishing Fate Stay Night on 40 hours anyway. But still, Hoshizora no Memoria taking more longer (now do chinami route :3), it take me about 50 hour to comple 4 girls so far.

Wut's that about? Is it good? Is there some supernatural BS at work?
