The Hanako "Rape" scene.
To clarify, this is what we called it internally. Basically, in a long-lost arm of the story Hanako was put onto heavy medication for one reason or another. Hisao and Hanako had already started dating at this point.
Hisao goes to see Hanako, and she basically says "If you want me, you can have me". Hisao, conflicted, takes the opportunity, and through the most ridiclious chain of events, dies. I'm sure there is a TV Trope for this, but I'm not dumb enough to go looking for one.

I think I once likened it to Statutory rape, hence the "rape" name. It was suprisingly resiliant to being killed, although it had many iterations. I'm not a fan of rape in these types of games, or rape in general. However it did open some interesting channels in the relationship, and so I kept a toned-down varation of the scene in the game for a while. It was probably in the "working draft" script for about a year.



On the upside, I have learnt a valuable lesson about what not to say in public.
