That really put me off at the time. I read it. I looked at her and was like "no... your not... your really, really not. I can't see any muscle ANYWHERE" O.o

Snow Sakura was my first VN, then i moved onto Ever17, came across KS, then Yume Miru Kusuri and I've recently finished all the endings for F/SN. Working on getting all the tiger dojos now for the funnies. Saber King Arthur is much more epic than normal king Arthur.
To be fair they're not that different.

Arthurian legend is always going to be Arthurian legend whether the king has tiny undeveloped breasts or otherwise. The Fate Story's main message and theme would have worked equally well with a male or female king.

Oh i know that, That's why Saber's identity wasn't too much of a shock because on some level it could be plausible and didn't really change much overall about the legend of King Arthur, but Regular king Arthur didn'ttime travel into the future to help save the world from an evil holy grail being created in Japan while in his final moments of life... at least I don't think he did.

Persona 3 and Persona 4 were actually the games that got me into visual novels.

Just started that one recently and went down the Aeka path. I almost feel like not taking the others because of how it affected me. In a good sense, for I identify as being the guy that would get mad about someone being treated the way she was. I would revolt like Kouhei in that last scene and imagined everything happening as if I was the one in his place.
That is what a truely great VN has the power to do. I feel like KS will be one of those. I already got drawn in from Act 1 so it's all up to you Devs to finish with a strong middle and end. Make me proud to call you guys my first. :D
Yume Miru Kusuri was the first visual novel I downloaded after finishing Narcissu and Brass Restoration. I thought I would enjoy Aeka's path the most, but when I found out that Kagami's relationship with her was based on sex, that's when I got put off. I did like Mizuki's route, partly because the pr0n made sense to me for the story. And yeah, I'm a guy, so I did like her pr0n scenes.

After that I tried Snow Sakura. I would've liked this one too if it wasn't for how horny every girl was. :?

After that, I started looking down on visual novels. But then after Katawa Shoujo Act 1, I started wanting to give visual novels another chance. That's when I read Kazoku Keikaku ~Family Project~. While there still was random pr0n here and there, there wasn't as much of it compared to most visual novels. I loved most of the characters's routes, mostly Chunhua's and Matsuri's (her pr0n scenes were surprisingly cute). I also loved the protagonist's gradual character development.

I guess I just don't like it when the pr0n seems forced, which is most of the time anyway.

Seeing that more people are using Valkyria Chronicles avatars, I'll follow suit.

Are you seriously telling someone off for paying for a decent game?

This.

If you enjoy something bloody pay for it to show appreciation.

I have to agree. I've gone back and bought stuff even after seeing part or all of it for free on the net. No matter how good I think something is and how I want to see more like it; in this world money talks and buying it is the best way of telling the makers "I luv ya man!" (in a non-homoerotic way).

Not everyone has the conscience to be a pirate.

Or maybe some of us just like to actually, buy things. Instead of pirating.

I love how everyone keeps judging KS based on its relative lack of porn or its tastefully done porn scenes despite the fact that we've only seen Act 1. Optimism is great but it seems to be applied solely to KS.

Alright, I get it. I was wrong. To be fair, I buy all of my video games. The only thing I don't pay for is porn. YMK is a great game, but when I got it, that's what I was taking it for.

o_O

While I'm consistently not into paying for anything if it can be avoided, your apparent stance seems arbitrarily inconsistent. Things like the most recent KS blog post should show that people can put the same amount of effort into making VN porn as into any video game. If you're going to pay for some things and not others, shouldn't the deciding factor be either the entertainment value or your appreciation for the creators, the latter of which is often some function of the former?

I wasn't going to comment on that line of discussion (as evidenced in my last post), but I don't like inconsistency, which with current information this appears to be.

I'm not planning to judge KS based on its ero-scenes. I came from /d/ so everything that doesn't meet their standards doesn't really interest me. From what I can tell is that the ero-scenes won't really interest me.

When the full version comes out I'm basically going to sit down and just enjoy the story and not really pay much attention to the ero content.

At first I thought she was Joan of Arc. I was a bit shocked and had a very loud "the fuck?" moment.

You're not the only one. Read Fate/Zero. Caster there mistakes her for Joan of Arc.

Really it continues to baffle me why they did make Arthur a woman. Also what was Lancer wearing?
