Hey Nicol, was just wondering, is the stuff on the front page all the final versions of everything? I'd like to record most of the soundtrack and I wanted to make sure to get the correct copies (although It doesn't matter too much). I got the parity from page 17, and just assuming that the final versions of things are the ones you are happiest with, which sheet music should I use?

Here's parity, made some pretty bad mistakes

I was searching the forums for a download of the sheet music for Shadow of the Truth, and couldn't find one. Did I miss it, or is it not there?

Also, I forgot to say, thank you Nicol for all of your amazing work, both in the game and out of the game. Moment of Decision is my number one favorite.

I just read the entire thread and i just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who provided sheets for piano. Also, just like pretty much everyone else, I am waiting on sheets for Cold Iron and all the other missing ones. Thank you in advance. :D

I made the stuff on the front page 2+ years ago. I'm not happy with it, but I don't have any plans to revise them at this time. You might as well assume they're the final versions.

Thanks, was just curious since there was the talk about the "final" version of parity. Gonna record at least romance in andante tomorrow, that's a really fun piece to play (nicol's version on page 1)

Edit: romance in andante

Edit: Hey mprasil, recorded your painful history:

I'd suggest writing the higher parts of the intro section an octave lower, just noting that it should be an octave higher. This song is difficult enough to parse having 7 flats, having to read 7 clefs above the measure makes it even tougher. In measures 36 and 40, the E naturals should just be written as Fb. Not sure if this was already stated, sorry if it was. Thanks a ton for transcribing it!

Good job!

I should mention that Blue123 wrote Breathlessly and I wrote Innocence; the credits on the fanmade sheets are basically guesswork since they were made before the soundtrack release.

Thanks for the notice, I've fixed both of those. If you prefer to be credited as skaf instead of armarfi just let me know.

Also sorry guys for clogging up this thread so much

I will echo the sentiment that I love the soundtrack and thanks again for everyone transcribing it. ^^ I've already learned a number of pieces and plan to try and learn them all.
I'm currently looking for a sheet of "Cold Iron" too. I'll leave "Parity" for later and for now I'm playing "Breathlessly".

By the way, I just good my first midi-keyboard and it's a lot of fun to play :D

Hey guys! Been lurking around in this post some time, and I'm really worked up about figuring out some KS soundtrack.

I've been playing tenor sax for a year now, and I want to try my hand at something else besides standar tunes, picking something by ear rather than sticking to music sheets. I've tried with some of the tunes from Cowboy Bebop and I think I manage myself, and since I'm a big fan of KS I thought "why not".

So far, Red Velvet is the one that strikes me as having the best parts for a tenor sax, but I wanted some more educated opinion. What piece do you think it good to get on the horn?

If I get it good I'll be sure to transcribe it and upload it here!

Cheers!

Ah Eh Eye Oh You would be good too, but it's not going to be much fun without the slap bass.

When it comes to red velvet,
Nicol Armarfi wrote:I have the original score for Red Velvet here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/wxlqtm . Again, I don't usually expect anyone but me to see these so it's not very pretty to look at. The basic idea is there though.

Aight! Cloudland swing is here, as promised!

Okay, in the midi, the grace note in bar 8 is fucked up, but it's right on the sheets, so play it as it looks on the sheets and how it sounds in the real song.

Happy times!

Wow! That was really good, man! Kudos to you! Yeah, the missing 8vas were due to laziness, and the E naturals were due to an error in my program. I just looked back and I had written them as Fbs, but for some reason they came out like that.
