I agree with your choice for Rin's music Nightdragon; it's kind of random and goes in unexpected directions. I could also see Emi having Working Up a Sweat playing in her headphones as she worked out. Kenji's isn't bad either, but where are the sockpuppets?
To explain, I don't see Kenji as 100% "Manly Rage", but also with small elements of being a lost, lonely little kid playing alone in a corner, making up stories to explain why he is alone and no one will play with him.

Of course, the music we readers associate with the charachters is more a reflection of each individual reader and their interpretation of the the character you create than any of your thought process while fleshing Emi out.
