Two questions. 1: Why wouldn't the 8 cores on my MacBook Pro be enough? 2: Why do you show no points/work units since July?

I'm not too familiar with how the PPD translates to mac smp(?) folding. It may be, it may not. Worth a try though!

After they gave me a hand, I started folding on their team. Doesn't mean I can't still help over here, though.

Edit: Looks like 5thvoice tried the beta tag.

As long as you're folding. That's more important than which team you're working for.

And I'm back!

You know, I really expected to get passed in the two-and-a-half weeks I was on vacation. Kinda disappointed here, guys.

Let me see what I can do.
Edit: Getting a lot of 8018s. Not good.

This may be a dumb question, but how would I go about getting the signature for folding@home? I just learned about this and joined the KS group for it, and began foldin'.

You must return your first few WU's before it will recognize your name.

Hi,

I just built a desktop computer a few months ago, and I remembered about Folding@Home. I'm not very active on the forums here; I lurk most of the time. However, I figured extra members of the team would be appreciated, so I joined, if that's alright with you.

Great! Maybe you'll help reverse our slide out of the top 200.

But as I said earlier, it's more important that you fold than which team it's for.

I figured that I'd put all those unused CPU cycles to good use, seeing as I put together this pretty powerful desktop computer, but use it to browse the Internet most of the day. I can't send money, but I can provide some processing power to a good cause.
