Time for e-p0n0s stroking!

At least for the time being. But I'm happy enough. Now I'm gonna get some food.... haven't eaten in half a day. Any news on the ranking of the team as a whole, by the way?

You have it above the user list, along with the rest of the team statistics.

Ah, but can you count up to 1023 on your fingers and read a binary clock at will?

Team Ranking (incl. aggregate) 1695 of 163220
Danke.
It would be pretty awesome if we make it to the top 1000.

If the current point increase rate keeps up, that will definitely happen (it will take a while, but we are around #160 by daily average at the moment, so that's the rank we should be gravitating towards).

Thought I'd drop in here to say I've joined the folding effort. Something I've noticed so far is that the GPU client is way better than the CPU ones if your card can support it:
(GPU) 8800 GT: 3100-5300 PPD
(SMP) Q9300 quad: 2100 PPD
I'm running both of them on my main machine, plus a little more from my older computers.

Holy mother of all that is digital, I’m jealous.
A massive waste of money, that, if he does it for “cancer research” as he says…he would be better off investing directly into some joint founded lab, or something. But I guess scientists doing research don’t produce a ‘PPD’ report, so this way he feels like he’s doing something. A massive waste of money that might cure cancer, or might make a superior version of cat litter, either way I’m jealous of that farm.

Welcome, nice to have one more person who can pull 5k+ PPD . And yup, you got it right about GPUs disliking F@H a lot less than CPUs. Something to do with trig functions…
Hmmm, we might also get more people from this community to fold if there was more than just a link in the blog to the F@H page and a blog entry from early July. Mebe this is a bit presumptuous of me, but maybe do something more? This thread can get stickie’d, or a new sticky can be made explaining the birds and the bees of F@H. There could be a short explanation about KS’s F@H team somewhere, ala <Blog> <Forum> <Shimmie> and <IRC>. Certainly that would filter more people from the net into our team.

If you check the Dev Blog they have added a little do-hickey that gives the summary KS Team stats. I'm glad to see it, but I'm not sure if the Devs would put more on when that site is really supposed to be devoted to 4LS and KS. The KS folding team is an ancillary activity not the main function for the Dev Blog. Unless the Devs are looking for more things to add to the site or decide they want to talk about F@H.

Heheh, Crud decided to start pulling some weight
As for myself, I crazy glue'd a CPU fan on-top (well, bottom really, it blows from bellow up) of my GPU, so the CPU fan blows into the GPU fan which blows into the GPU. Core temperature under full load doped from [an average of] 75ish°C to a cool 60ish°C. I got scurrred yesterday when I found it doing 98°C (it was a hot day). I'd take idling temps, but that would take away from the points....I say, this business is addicting for some reason.

Hmmm... I see.... I may follow this through or not, but I'm not interested in getting in a "lol im beter then u" kinda garbage. But then again, it's a little fun to be a little competitive once in a while... even if I end up losing

At least that may make the job of getting the team to the 160'th place (according to delta) a bit faster.
Aw man, I think I'll have to get that damn screw-driver to fix the pc sitting on my room collecting dust.... Hmmm.... maybe later.
cpl_crud wrote: Also sticked because I'm in a meeting
I may be dumb, but I don't get what this has to do with sticking stuff... Well, it will be easier to find it now.

All right! Crank up the cycles.
500K is a good size for the unicode client.
Ehh? Virgin mind? Here? In these forums?? Shoot, lets go unicorn hunting.

Oho! I lost even before I got serious! Oh well. Good luck talking with your network admin.
As for my "virgin mind," I have been in meetings boring as hell, but I at least had two friends to talk to during those.
