Wow, thats some "dedication"... and a bit scary.
Hold on there, maybe that is the "accident" Emi had.
Ahh, Morticia? I would die for her. I would kill for her. Either way, what bliss.

And if we are throwing "maybes" around; "maybe" the SF Giants will win the World Series in my lifetime.

I've always thought that what matters most is communication. If I could communicate well with them, sure thing. If not, no.

Meaning in real life, someone like Shizune would drive me insane. Even worse, I wouldn't be able to enjoy music with them. Yikes.
Hmm.

A physical disability? I'd say sure, why not? Disabled people deserve love just as much as what the majority of the community calls 'normal'.
Hell, If I had a disabled girlfriend, I wouldn't treat her any different as I would treat a 'normal' girlfriend.
Unless, of course, she is physically uncapable of performing an activity, or if that activity causes her discomfort due to her disability.
Just imagine it, your legless girfriend wakes up, and her prosthetics aren't at the usual place after last night's 'fun time'.
In that case, I'd most definitely help her find them. But that's nothing more than expected, right?

A little note, I think perfect 'normality' is impossible, hence why I put it in between apostrophes.

Sure, as long as they weren't insane. Love is love, even if your loved one lacks hearing or a leg.

I mean, dealing with different disabilities each have their own challenges. For instance, I'll choose deaf/mute as an example because I would find it the most difficult out of the disabilities shown in KS so far to work with. If I started liking someone who was deaf/mute, I'd have to overcome the communication barrier that exists. It would be awkward going on a date with them with the translator with (WAHAHAHAHA!!!), and I don't know if I'd have the discipline to learn sign language. I suppose passing notes would work for a while, but I hardly think that a real relationship would work well based on just communicating that way.

So I think what I'd have to say is that if I wanted to date someone who was disabled, I'd make my best effort to overcome any challenges that came up.
For you, its 'if' for me, i did, still do. Anyway learning sign language isn't as hard as learning to survive in the wild. Sadly, that girl has someone she likes, so well, meh. Anyway, i would date someone with a phyical disability...like <someone> said, its what's in her heart.

Yeah, I would. If it's love then you wouldn't care about whatever is "wrong" with that person.

As Validus Razgriz said though, each disability comes with its own challenges, some far more difficult than others. The real test comes when you need to overcome those challenges.
Open up our narrow minds.

I had kind of a disability myself when i was younger (but i got the right treatment and now im perfectly fine). I think as long es the girl has a nice personality and is likeable i dont see a reason why i shouldnt date her.

The only main issue I would ever have with a deaf girl.
Music is a huge part of my life, the thought of not being able to share that with her is troubling, I know at the very least it would make me think about things a lot more.

Yea, that may come off as a little sad but I really care about music that much that it could be a make or break point for dating a deaf girl.

On the bright side, Empty, you could listen to whatever music you want and your deaf girlfriend would never disagree with your taste. You could listen to music all day and night and she'd never scream at you to turn the volume down. ^_^

Let's bust out some LOGICAL REASONING. If one loses a physical attribute, does he or she not become less of a human?
I'm perfectly fine with dating anyone with a physical disability. A few difficulties will surface, but we all must make sacrifices for dating even those without a disability.

I think it would be better saying if the Cubs will win a World Series ever again. Now, I really don't have any friends who have any physical disabilities, at least one I can remember off the top of my head. I doubt any loss of limb, sight, etc. would change anything anyways. All that will happen is that I will just have to be more mindful of what I say, do etc. around said friend. You know, I actually would like to try dating someone who is disabled just to see how it is. Who knows, it could just work out.

Yes. In the end, everyone comes with some kind of baggage, physical or emotional. Some are just more obvious than others as in the case with physically disabled people. I don't think i could date a person with a mental disability though, as i believe meaningful relationships begin in the mind, though i guess it would depend on the kind of disability and how it effected them.

If one of your friends has the tragic fortune of ever becoming disabled his personality would probably change accordingly. There is a chance that you won't want to be friends with that "new" person anymore. I think it's not as easy as you make it out to be because it already requires a lot of effort and goodwill on both parts to stay friends or even romantical partners before the disablity becomes a factor.
