Forums updated but not going anywhere

Post by cpl_crud »

Hello all!

A few of you have noticed that the forums look significantly different than they did a few days ago.

Unfortunately phpBB (the software that runs the forums) had an update, and this broke our custom theme. So, for now, we're on the default.

PyTom has updated the site to make sure that it is updated and secure, however getting the theme back to "KS Standards" might take some time.

If it's any consolation, this colour theme is pretty much how the original "dev forum" looked like before we moved here, so it's a bit of a throwback for me.

Don't worry, we're not going anywhere; we only need to keep the software updated (to make sure there are no security exploits etc).

Cheers!

I was worried you might have been hacked or something, but it seems sometimes security updates can be worse than hackers...

Man I was a bit scared when it started because I was reading the Sisterhood Fanfiction with the music cues and the numbers to tell me when to switch disappeared when the update broke stuff. Glad it's getting fixed. :D

I almost had a heart attack worse that Hisao's. Good to know it's nothing serious!
If Iwanako had a route, would the tagline be "Can you find it in your heart?"

Good to know, thanks. I know I really don't actively post here anymore but it's still good to see that people here are doing well and I'm glad that the place isn't going down any time soon.

As fun as it may be to see how it once looked like I look forward to seeing the KS theme return.

Definitely got scared for a moment :') I think many of us retain a precious corner of our hearts for this place, virtual as it may be. Thanks, Crud, and anyone else who has a part in keeping the forums alive. :)

Any ETA for a fix?
Even if the author is silenced, the performance is stopped, the story will not end.

Whether it's a comedy or a tragedy, if there is cheering, the story will continue on.
Just like the many lives.
For the us who are still in it and still in the journey, send warm blessings.
