Re: KS de white-knighted me

I don't know if the message you should take from this game is "don't be a white knight." Contrarily, even, many girls often are looking for the kind of guy who can protect them and offer security -- just don't do it from a place of condescension. If anything, the overarching message to take from thi...

Re: middle girl

I could have guess that Shizune and Rin would have the fewest votes; both girls are very "polarizing" and people seem to love or hate them. Lilly makes sense for the most "middle" votes, too; few people hate her, but her route is [very arguably] somewhat cliche and less interesting than the other gi...

Re: Having trouble with finishing KS!

Hey guys, I've been stalking and using flowcharts from here but I can't seem to get specific scenes. I'll post image links to show which ones exactly. ACT 1 part 1 That scene is "Slow Recovery" and the easiest way to explain how to find it is to go for both Shizune and Emi at the same time. ACT 1 p...

Re: Full Flowcharts with Scenes

Rin's chart has been updated with some slight aesthetic changes. The arrow color was changed to red to match the theme of the chart; in hindsight I'm not really sure why I was using that odd orange. A few arrows were moved to less awkward positions relative to the decision points, and some scene blo...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Route Choices Flowchart w/ Scenes

I really like your charts, especially the Act 1 chart. It's one of the easiest to follow out of the ones I've seen so far. I did have a question about one part of that chart, though. In the Hanako/Lilly/Rin section in the lower left, there doesn't seem to be any indication on how one would get to A...

Re: Flowcharts (Cleaned up, no repeated scenes)

Hmm, I was sure three of the Rin decisions led to staying in the art club and three led to quitting it, but I wouldn't have bet money on it. Rin's path has an incredible number of possible choices, so to play every combination will take an absurd length of time and it's one of the arcs I have not c...

Re: (My) Introduction, thoughts and a question

Just played through Hanako's arc. Found nothing wrong. Man, people keep saying this, but is no one else bothered by what amounts to date rape in the "good" ending ? Seriously, it's here's a big emotional moment where she bares her body as a symbolic act of baring her soul and opening up and there's...

Re: Would you live your life mute & deaf or blind?

If I were blind since birth, or at least an early age, with some hope of mimicking the aptitude Lilly and other nonfictional people have shown to living well-rounded lives in the absence of sight, I think it would definitely be preferable to a world of silence. I have many hobbies that necessarily m...

Re: New found interest in learning sign language

I actually have an "ASL for Dummies" book lying around. Some time ago I had a girlfriend who lived with her aunt and uncle and their nonverbal daughter, who communicated with sign language, and taught myself enough sign language to talk to her (and because I had and have always wanted to). After pla...

Re: Act 1 V5 to Full Version inconsistency (Contains spoiler

You have to do two out of these three things: Ask Mishizune about the library, apologize to Hanako in the library, and/or tell Kenji she was cute when he asks. Then you have to go talk to Hanako when you are waiting after class and stick up for Lilly in the Cold War scene, after which you arrive at ...

Re: Countries and nationalities and KS.

I do the same thing when communicating with native Spanish speakers, whether or not my Spanish is perfectly fine, I can't tell the difference! Obviously I do the best I can, but some errors or idiomatic expressions or awkward wording may be a little off-putting if people don't realize that it's a se...

Yes, copy the RenPy folder from your %appdata% directory (assuming you're on Windows) into the same directory on your new computer.

Re: Flowcharts (Cleaned up, no repeated scenes)

I can't believe none of us thought of the idea of labeling these charts by version number before! It certainly helps keep track of which ones are up-to-date. *casts detect sarcasm* Like I said before , I added the version numbers after I saw them on someone else's charts. But yes, it is a very usef...

Re: Metamorphosis *SPOILERS* (Rin’s path)

I thought some of the same things as I was reading Rin, about both the butterflies and the dandelions. I found it hard to reconcile, though, because those both have changes that are so ... obvious. Still, I like this. Thanks :D
